I think it will only just have started Chris. There will be a round-up on www.clubff1600.co.uk tonight (thanks in advance to James Beckett, John Miller, Cliff Dempsey, Chris Chisnall) - although as we've established before all the testing times are totally meaningless!

I spoke to David Marshall and he was doing 52.8 with Gavin fastest on a 51.8.
The first 2 sessions were wet then it started to dry out Last edited by Redracer77; 14 Oct 2004 at 17:05. |

Justin, Matt is taking the lead on the Festival as it is at Brands while I will be in charge for the WHT. All information we get will be posted on www.clubff1600.co.uk first, not here.

Well done team at www.clubff1600.co.uk - you got the heat results and mini report up before MST.....impressive stuff. So now the heats are done and dusted, does everyone go through to a semi final? Or are the likes of Ed Moore and more importantly Darren Burke in the new Ray (lovely car!) finished for the weekend??? Just curious......

Everyone goes through to the Semis, and Ed and Darren will start from the back. More to come on the website as soon as I've finished playing with this.

well done to David Marshall for a solid performance in his first race outside the North West and first at Brands Hatch.
Disappointing to see only 3 drivers from the NWFF Championship..... |

It does make you wonder why the guys came to watch rather than participate. I appreciate the WHT is soon and some may be saving their cars for that but it is a crying shame the FFF was starved of more Kents.
Maybe there should be a bi-annual Festival purely for Kents in an effort to recreate the FFF of old. Get the guys from Germany, Spain, Benelux etc over as they used to. If nothing else it would be a fantastic social occasion for all the Kent owners worldwide? |

It sounds like this years festival was a cracker but next year it will come under a lot more pressure from the WHT with the races all over 2 days...

There is a place for both the Walter Hayes Trophy and the Festival and I know that one person who would very strongly agree with that is James Beckett (another would be Steve Burns). We want to see as many cars as possible out in BOTH events; it shouldn't be an either/or.
However, with the "Festival" perhaps slightly under threat it would seem sensible if next year the timetable was closed up: test on Friday; qualifying and heats on Saturday; semis and final on Sunday. |

I have to say I was totally appalled by the behaviour of one FF1600 driver. In the top paddock he appeared to miss the noise test - then got irate and extremley offensive with the scrutineer doing the test, he was screaming out expletives so the whole area could see - then reversed in a very dangerous manner and knocked over a bystander. The driver then proceeded to abuse the bloke he knocked over - no apologies, nothing. with various member of the press watching this scene I was amazed and appalled at this behavior. The driver in question should no way be allowed to behave like this - totally unacceptable
