Their K1200R is a four cyclinder I believe. But I thought they'd take advantage of the displacement rule for twins. Their new HP2 bike seems like a good platform. Either way, it will be nice to see them on the grid.

Trouble is because its BMW could they really break the mould from their past and build a V-twin when by rights every BMW just about of that size is a flat twin.

Just like Ducati wont build a beam frame and have a 90 degree vee twin with desmo valves, can you really see BMW using a 1200 vee twin that aint a flatty!

I would expect BMW not to have any problems with that whatsoever.

It actually surprises me they're not going to try it with the flat twin engines.

I like this rumour: Biaggi with GSE to WSBK.
http://www.crash.net/motorsport/wsbk...gi_to_gse.html

How many rounds would it take before he will start to moan about the treatment he is getting from Ducati, if this is actually going to happen.

I do hope it will happen btw

It wont happen, Wright has made a comment denying the rumour but fuelling interest in the team, just like the good team manager he is!!

This is an interesting read.

According to Dennis Noyes Word from Ducati Corse is that the plans to put Max Biaggi on a works-supported Ducati with the GSE squad have been abandoned. The Italian source of the original story linking Biaggi to the GSE team of Great Britain says that the problem is due to a conflict of interest that would make it impossible for Darrell Healey, owner of the GSE team, to field a team in opposition to the factory team of Troy Bayliss and Michel Fabrizio. Healey is the personal manager of Troy Bayliss.

Gianluca Nanneli will ride for team Hannspree Honda (this is not the Ten Kate Team) in the World Supersport in 2008. Craig Jones will most probably become his teammate.

Roberto Rolfo will ride the CBR1000RR for this team in 2008.

I just hope that Biaggi doesn't destablise what is developing into a really good team.

I understand this response, but is it still a fair one? He seemed to be more mellow this year. I don't recall reading any reports about Biaggi ruining the mood at Alstare. But maybe somebody else has. I'm hoping his presence will elevate the Sterilgarda team by hopefully bringing in new sponsors. Also curious to see how Xaus reacts on track next year.

Jeez they must be paying him a fair bit to go there!! And you also have to remember that Xaus had a pretty special 999 this year, in no way was that an inferior bike he was on, it was as good as Lanzis machine!
Max might have been quite clever here methinks,

It is an excellent team and their equipment this year was pretty close to what the factory had, not quite, but close. Xaus is a far better rider the Lanzi which helped make up the difference.

While Biaggi seemed much more relaxed during the year, he pretty much had things his own way. This year he is going to a team where Xaus is the established rider, he is every bit a quick as Biaggi and has become much less crash prone over the last couple of years. It is also worth noting that the team will be know as Sterilgarda Go Eleven Racing this year, Go Eleven is the company that manages Ruben.

I would love to know how much Biaggi is getting paid or how much he has had to pay to get the ride. He will be in a good team and on a good bike, but I don't think he will be getting paid anywhere near the money he was demanding from Alstare.

Someone else (perhaps FG Sport itself) could always be tipping in to make up the difference?

Chris Walker will be back on a Kawasaki in 2008. He will be riding the Gil Motorsports Kawasaki in the World Supersport Championship .

Katsuaki Fujiwara will be his teammate.

A shame Chris is making a step down, seems like a waste of a good rider, although he did seem to underperform in BSB this year.

Who long before we'll see this KTM RC8 (revealed at the Milan motorshow) in WSBK?

Crikey that's a nice looking piece of kit, and it does have the right tires on it.

Weird moves those English riders make. First Walker and now Hill to World Supersport...

dont know if this is old news or not, but (nov 12) - Spaniard Fonsi Nieto and German Max Neukirchner both put the 2007 Alstare Corona Extra Suzuki GSX-R1000 though its paces during their test at Valencia in Spain with Neukirchner beating the lap record on regular race rubber...

hmm, fonsi gets a suzuki gig

Yep, gomick, Fonzi to Suzuki is old news, not good news, at least for suzuki. I can only imagine that he has come with a huge cheque cause he certainly hasn't come with huge talent.

The power of money. Fonzi has never shined where ever he has ridden.
