We will be in Garage Vert so inside the circuit, but if there is a need to change the meeting site then it could be at our tent as there is open access as it is next to the Antares tram terminal. Sean |

The back log of cars at the gate would get silly if they tried to search every one so i doubt they will do anymore than just ask, so as long as it is out of sight we should be OK, also on Friday the security on the main gates will be very slim just scanning tickets as usual i suspect

As we arrive the car will be fully loaded with all of our camping gear etc, booze will be stocked next to spear tyre so impossible to see.

In the past (especially earlier in the week) they will do a quick car search if either no-one else is queueing behind you or if you are in the queue for scanning (ie. not the car being scanned).
Truck's Top Tip: Have some obvious cans near the top of the luggage pile and have the bottles buried at the bottom. |

And no, they're not in the brown carton box, that is reserved for my 100 metres of electrical lead.

Ho hum! Saying all of that I'm sure they may well relent at some point over the week as it just becomes too much of a chore. |

Good to know about stashing the drinks on the way in. The less we can bring in the more we have to buy from the vendors, I suppose. I'll give it a go and if they take it, they take it. 7 euros a beer might get costly

You'd think they'd have bigger priorities than checking everyone's booze but there is money to be made I guess.
As others have said we've had our car checked on entering Houx a few times. The tapping on the windscreen implied they were looking for glass. I'm not going to completely unpack my car unless it's for police so if there's enough desire you can easily hide stuff. I've also had my bag checked heading out of Houx as eps said. But that was pretty sporadic. I'm sure it will tighten up in the future and I don't see the situation getting better to be honest. |

I suspect that there will be increased checks - not just for alcohol. This morning the BBC was reporting vastly increased security in Paris ahead of the football tournament and P&O's website has announced delays at Calais because of extra security checks on entering France.

i am sure the behaviour of the soccer fans will not be much help, but the extra security is a good thing and we have to work with it
