*Light -There are not likely to be works participation of Mercedes, Audi and BMW. However some GT300 teams (Gainer, GSR, KTR) want to step-up to GT500 by DTM car. (DTM car is economical, about 60 million yen.) However since German manufacturers dislike Japanese original BoP, they may not sell DTM car to Japanese team. *Shadow -BoP of DTM car and GT500 car is very difficult because of GT300 class. -Japanese motorsports industry may decline by regulation unification. |

So the Germans feels their DTMs will be at a disadvantage and may not let a local team run them. But on top of it they won't run it themselves? That seems like a big waste of time to unify the cars if so.

So I guess it's a waste then... Well that's not a surprise since the Germans are too scared to bring their DTM cars to Japan, while forcing them to unify the regulations.

I hope some show up. I think they will. Be interesting to see some GT300 teams upgrade to GT500 with a DTM, they just need better (non spec) tires and a little more engine power.

Speaking of which, I wonder if they could shove their rulebook to other silhouette racing series like STCC and Trans-Am in maybe 2015 or 2017? |

A DTM costs 700K? Ouch, so much for replacing DP with the unified car. And the Germans completely pussing out on SGT just confirms what I already knew.

If they want to bring their cars to Japan, why don't they make it cheaper. They agree to unify regulations with the clause of making it cheaper and yet they claimed that their DTM cars are expensive than GT500 cars? I think it's the opposite! |

Team KRAFT have financial difficulties.
So I suspect whether they can participate in GT300. |

Almost didn't notice the Michelin tires on the BRZ until I read your post again. Is there another test soon?

Will be good to see if they can challenge for the title with the 458. They definitely have a good car.
