I'm Kelvin Hassell. If you wish to speak to me in person, I can often be found standing outside the CoC's office with my race licence in one hand and a cheque book in the other...

I've now split the greater part of the original thread off to a discussion thread, without, hopefully, losing some of the banter that accompanied some of the 'disclosures' on this thread. Please now use this ONLY to tell us who you really are, if you wish to.

OK, I really am Graham Allen, but not the MP of the same name who, to the best of my knowledge, has no interest in the contents of a Hewland Mk5.
I have raced a 1933 Aston off and on for about 12 years and soon hope to be racing a 1967 Elfin 300, but quite sure where.. |

I tend to look at this forum only occasionally, but enjoy the topics. When I signed up I was asked to put forward an alternative name which I did. I would have been quite happy to give my name which is Roddie Feilden.
I have raced with two different Chevrolet Camaros, HSCC then AMOC, and have run an App K Corvette for a few years (before they got popular!) |

EmileR = Emile Robyns, Belgium
I raced a yellow Lola in Sports 2000 and Thundersport in the 80ies a red Sabre Six (92FRP) in European FIA early nineties and started again 2 years ago (old love never dies) with a white Ginetta G4 The team is called "Louise Racing", meaning "Racing for the Louises", instead of everyone here "Racing for Zolder" at that time, and a "Louise" is the Brussels equivalent to a "Gal or Lassie" in English I think |

Was the red Sabre the same one I see Gerry Marshall crash at Mallory in the 60's?

According to my records chassis S200207 is registered as a red Sabra Sports in antwerp. The ex-Don Pither Sabre Six '92 FRP' is now in America and is still raced I believe. Dave Poole |

Dave, yes the Sabra was built in Israel from, IIRC, kits supplied by Reliant, who marketed it here as the Sabre 4. 92 FRP, a true Sabre 6, was owned By Nigel Newth-Gibbs, prior to Don's ownership. I ought to know the chassis number; probably have it somewhere but it should start SS300???.

Yes, I know, guilty of going off topic, but I blame Emile for throwing a chassis number in! Of course, I could start a new thread along the lines of the Griff one; that seems to have been pretty lively!
I've taken your name, Mr Smith; guilty pleasures indeed, I have ..... erm .... no not going there. I like Steam engines, though! |
