Snaring Pirtek might have been Mr Skaife’s first task in his new role at HRT; given that he stated he was more 'turned on' making sponsorship presentations than racing.

Dodo, Pirtek ... who will next in line for a presentation?

That's true GTR but Andrew van Leeuwen didn't seem to agree with me.

Unfortunately, we've only got 36 starters confirmed for Friday but it'll be a good event nonetheless.

In other words WRC and the FIA have not delivered a championship entry to Rally Ireland.

It's a shame but a combination of factor not least the economic downturn have contributed to this.

I'm still looking forward to the event regardless and my mate is navigating in the "Slowly Sideways" demonstration runs in the first ever Group A works Ford Escort Cosworth, lucky sod!

Pirtek came over from the HSVDT with Toll. This was Pirtek's continuation in V8 Supercars after the SBR deal concluded, which was predominantly caused by SBR supplying engines to Pirtek rival, ENZED, who were sponsoring BJR fairly prominently at the time.

The Toll/HSVDT involvement was to provide a solid degree of certainty that Pirtek would continue to get the bulk of the Toll business.... A business-to-business deal that works for all parties.

Who is Matt Treacy? Tony Cochrane's replacement? He sure wins more weeks than not. A shame he isn't a race horse!

Based on that, can you please explain the senior exec's explanation as posted?

And also, please explain why Pirtek would pay Toll for shipping Pirtek parts in a sponsorship capacity? That makes no sense.

gee banksie, hard to please. what do you expect each week "Brock Alive and Living in Panama!!" Skaife having a TV deal which allows him to do Philip Island/Bathurst is something i find quite interesting! Who with is the interesting question ....... the bad news is that some other bum (ie not me) won the trip to the Grand Prix ....

If you are a V8DD member, click here, you'll see what Skaife has to say about the enduros, including a little information on which team with, but published 10 days ago.
I thought the TKR story is bigger, but TKR isn't as interesting as Skaife.

They can't please them all.
