FIA-GT car dominated the front row!

Japanese Samurai, could you tell us what tech changes (if any) are made in the HANKOOK PORSCHE and in the DAISHIN ADVAN Ferrari from the ACO/FIA GT GT2 rules to fit GT300 class, please?
I think GTA will penalize those cars for the next round, if they take a one-two tomorrow :-( |

I do not have information that these two machines were remodeled for S-GT.
I think that the weight handicap and the restrictor size are the reasons of the speed of these two cars. |

Is there a typo in the super lap time for the Daishin Ferrari or does qualifying in S-GT work in a way I don't understand? According to the list it was slower than the three cars behind it.

Hankook Porsche wins in GT300, nice to see. The 430s finished fourth and sixth.

One clarification to make is that the FIAGT GT1 Nissan certainly didn't dominate the front row (if that's what you meant! ;-). Mainly because it isn't the same type of car...
The SuperGT GT-R is much different, and for all intensive purposes is a Prototype with GT-R styling (which is still awesome, mind you!). Thanks so much for your input though, everyone's opinion is welcome and valid! Note the differences below: |

pitviper, I think Japanese Samurai was referring to the GT300 class where there was a Ferrari and a Porsche on the front row, however I will wait for japanese samurai to confirm.
And yes the two GT-Rs are very different. The Super GT gt500 cars are much closer to an LMP then a GT racer. Although my favourite is the chop top R34 that was the final version of the R34 JGTC GT500 machine, a very tough looking racecar indeed. |

My apologies if you are right! And yes, the R34 GT-R was absolutely slick looking. Of course, I also loved the Z...

It is GT300 that I referred.
Yes, GTR of S-GT is quite different from the base car. It is only A pillar, a ceiling, and a doorknob that it is the same as the base car. |

Thanks Japanese Samurai. Kudos to the Daishin Advan team to get their Ferrari into 2nd in GT300.

This is R20B engine of Amemiya RX-7.
They seem to change the rotor of this engine to the rotor of the 13B-MSP RENESIS. http://plus-u.jp/blog/amasan/?p=1040 |

It was announced that R&D sport participate in Super GT(300 class) with SUBARU Legacy B4.
They plan to participate from the 6th(Suzuka) round. http://www.rdsport.net/2008/news/detail.php?id=148 SUBARU participated in S-GT with AWD Impreza that Cusco Racing had developed until last year. I think that New Legacy becomes AWD car, too. R&D sport is a constructor who developed VEMAC. |

This is an air conditioner unit that NISMO developed.
The compressor of Kei-car is used. It is a mechanism that the cold wind is sent to the seat and the helmet. The weight of this system is 13kg(cf. weight of cool suit system is 20kg). The energy loss by this system is about 2 horsepower. http://ww2.supergt.net/gtcgi/prg/NLi...de?No=NS012888 |
