JC copped fifty because they nocked back the custom 25 points. The Stewards decided to give him a top up. Moff put his hand and said yep, I did it, a took the 25 points. Depends on how you want to take it.

Take a on the spot fine or front the Judge. Most drivers would take the on the spot fine.

Series Points After Race 2

Once/if Whincup is penalized for the Bargwanna hit and crossing the blend line at pit exit. We could have Alex leading the championship with the Giz in 2nd

Also, how long does it take to clean a track and put a car on a low loader tow truck?

I've seen a 1/2 drunk 60 year old bloke get a rolled Commodore on the back of an old F350 banana back in less than 5 minutes!

What a turnaround today. From Hero to Zero, its back to Hero again.

All whilst 'mate' Garth watches on from the garage.

I think that HRT is the biggest disappointment so far this year.

The Ingall recovery made no sense, the car broke a rear axle and couldnt drive, and likely unable to be moved, but it was what 4 laps to move it.. mad..

A very entertaining race 2, but the management of the race from the control tower was comical.

Apart from all the small oversights, how hard is it for the pace car to keep to the prescribed speed???? and if that was the speed it was instructed to go then somebody needs a good sacking.

When you can pit under the pace car and then almost rejoin in front of it and gain a lap, its a joke.

All those that pitted should have been sent back behind the last person that didnt.

Recorded it last night and just finished watching it. Main take-outs I had:

D'Alberto - tool - should have been docked 200 points for causing that first lap chaos.

Opening Safety Car - farcical. The SC driver should have been going quicker. The cars rejoining in fact rejoined ahead of the Safety Car but then had to back it off. They were entitled to be there. But if the SC had been going at correct speed, they would have rejoined at the back.

Steven Johnson - Always puts in one strong performance per season. Was race 2 his one strong race of the year - or is he really stepping up as a team leader and a title threat in 2011?

Bright & BJR - Great work, great drive, fantastic to see them have genuine pace. Hope they can keep it up.

End of race battle - Enthralling and professional. As JB said, he and Courtney barely touched and it was superb racing and entertainment.

Courtney - Anyone who doubts this guy's ability from here on in is simply indulging their own bitterness & resentment. Not just because he won a race, but because he and HRT managed to turn a dog of a car on Saturday into fast car by Sunday qualifying. He then stretched out 22 laps on a tank while running at the front and then racing for the win. That is an extraordinary performance, particularly in his first race weekend in a new car.

HRT - Are they back? Shame Tander got taken out early in race 2, but he had a promising performance in race 1. Just maybe the factory reds will return as a force this year.

TeamVodafone - Still the fastest, still the favourites.

Looking forward to Adelaide, when the real championship starts.

[QUOTE=Oran Park Forever;2825456]Has to be Tim Schenken, just like every year. Kind of a shame really for a former winner at the 'old ring'.

Oops, he did it again!!!!

Tim, stop calling it a "Safety" car, it's supposed to be a "Pace" car! A lap 1 "caution period" & he slows the field to shopping trolley speeds to conserve green racing laps If it was 10 laps to go, sure, but geez grow a brain Timothy!!!!!!!!!!!

As a former race driver, you should know that race cars (& drivers!) need speed to retain temps........especially on a 19 degree night ya dumb**s!

Surely when Cold Bum beat the pace car to turn 2 after pitting you would think even "Safety Tim" could see his own stupidity..........but not even 4 more farcical laps woke him up!

Techincally Winterbottom exited the pits just in front of the safety car and was well within his rights to gas it up and join onto the end of the cue a lap up on everyone.
Had he done that Roland's head along with every other team owner in pitlane would have exploded. Mark did the right thing by pulling in behind the safety car, but your right race control should have ordered everyone who pitted to the end of the cue.

Looked like someone local from the couple of glimpses I saw - they would have been driving under instructions from race control though.

The pit exit would have been red so they couldn't leave (thats what Dumbrell got a penalty for).

Although, if the penalty was only a drivethtough, gaining a whole lap would be wrth it.

If the order did come from the tower for the pace car to keep the speed it did, then the contents of that tower needs to be replaced.

If this was the footy, the umpire would be spending the next few games at home.

How come frosty gets a penalty for crossing the blend line (there the rules i understand that) but Courtney putting a move on bright with two laps to go , crosses the blend line and there is no penalty.

Consisteny please

and through the book at lowndes,

Agreed, its round one and the biggest dissapointment has already been one. The officials in charge, disgracefull, too much inconsistency,

Still waiting for a points penalty for lowndes

I actually thought Courtney was going to the pits as he was out of fuel, he crossed the line by that much

both wheels, just re-checked

Interesting re-start by Jamie too, didnt pass him while off the road, only got alongside him.

managed to pass him before the start line though, automatic drive through

how long will we wait for this one.

Not a word from skaife, but straight on the Frosty blendline one though. interesting.

Pecky I thought you were more informed than that, you disappoint me.

The pit lane blend line is only active when you are entering or leaving pit lane.

Wow, what a ****fight...
Courtney showing what a champion he is and having the "baggers" looking for another line to use. FPR, the laughing stock of the V8 Supercar paddock.
Whincup with another solid drive, a great job Brighty and a good performance by Alex.
Whilst i am a Holden fan, i hope for the championship sake that this becomes not only a battle between many drivers for the championship, but a Ford v Holden battle to the end.
Simon McNamara to the podium please.....
Come on boys, don't let me down with your replies

so what your saying Sizzle, is that while under safety car, its bad to cross a blend line, but in a race, its ok to slam into the back of a car that is slowing to enter the pits. because you are allowed to race in what is considered part of pit lane

If what you are saying is true, then that is a most contradictory rule. One that is bound to cause more damage (Skaife on Ambrose at shaghai, Skaife on frosty at Oran park)

its time that rule was cleaned up

thats what should have happened after they stuffed the Safety car. full re-start.

Jamie and frosty and others on that lap, got an advantage that Alex Davo and others on the next lap didnt get
