I thought Rosberg drove just as soid a race as Lewis in order to finish a credible 2nd and give the team their first one, two since 1955. If anything his car was not on the pace compared with Lewis's.

Was Rosberg doing the minimum deliberately? Pretty mediocre if not. But then he has a points lead to defend. Sensible drive possibly. I don't know.
Remember Ron Dennis saying McLaren were bringing half a second to Malaysia? Blimey. Must have added it rather than subtracted it... |

Rosberg did seem to suffer from more rear deg than Hamilton, especially in the first stint

And then toyed with Vettel as he had a second a lap in the pocket, so it wasn't a bad race at all. He played his cards well and nursed his engine more than Lewis which could pay off in the future. But he was the only one with a car as good as Hamilton's, and did not challenge him. That was a bit disappointing in my opinion. |

This isn't 1988, they don't have the advantage they had then, and being modest and understated may do McLaren more good than being cocky and talking yourself up. Pride comes before a fall.... |

But still think both Ham's and Seb weekends were better overall. |

I thought Seb sounded a little downcast over the radio as the race finished.

Just a guess, but if I was in his place I'd be disappointed knowing that there was no way that I would be able to catch the mercs. Third is good, but not being able to challenge the other two cars must be disheartening

How cringey was Nico's podium interview btw with the Petronas angle?

oh god... When he started saying "you should be proud of Petronas" I had to look away. I think he had too much of the champagne

Here we go again. Daniel Ricciardo has been pinged by the Stewards for the next race in Bahrain. He will receive a 10 second stop go penalty during the race, and a ten spot grid penalty.
Looks like Daniel has inherited Webber's luck, car and pit crew. The 10 second stop go I can understand. But a 10 place grid drop!???? |

Just heard this on the Red Button - thought he'd already received a penalty in the race for this?
But he's certainly inherited Mark's luck |

And more pain for Red Bull. Summoned to the stewards room to explain why a mechanic was not wearing a helmet when Ricciardo was being pushed back into the pit bay.
FIA trying to show RBR who the Boss is prior to the court case?? |
