Very much doubt Alex would be sponsored by Camel in the Winston team, they are only interested in Biagga, hence their rather childish throiw teddys incident in GP.
I think Barros has his ownmoney to bring to be honest, he has wlays been relatively well backed

A new 'Private' Ducati team. I'll try and dig up the details from somewhere.

Great interview that, Hidge always goes on about Doohan sliding the thing past him at Eastern Creek, must have been the first corner I reckon, can you imagine how out of depth you would feel!

Here is some "message board news" for you.

Quote:
It's a rumor that has been circling the globe for a few days now--that Max Biaggi has agreed to race a Suzuki in the World Superbike series with Camel support in 2006--but the heat from this one has increased exponentially in the last 24 hours.

The story goes that Biaggi will join the Alstare Suzuki team as a team-mate to Troy Corser in a deal that is to be announced tomorrow.

It seems as though Camel will go wherever Max goes judging from their reluctance to sponsor anyone else.
But you have to say that it will probably depend on Alstare and what they want to do. I imagine Corser would have a say aswell, he is the champ after all and you know what Max is like, he will to get everyone on his side and change things.
Interesting possibility though

Robby Rolfo is now heading for an NCR Ducati.

This is great, now that WSBK is being seen as a viable alternitive to MotoGP the field is really starting to return to it's full potential.[/formergloryrant]

I thought the team announced they were not competing in WSBK class this year, hence why Xaus didn't sign with them?!

Yeah, I thought so too, maybe that means that Joshifumi (Josh Brooks) will ride in the Superbike class instead of supersports...

Carrachi ran bikes in both Superbikes and Supersport last year, so they may still do both. What is Nannelli doing for next year, or Nieto?

Nieto unbelievably after a rubbish year on superbikes has managed to secure a ride with PSG alongsdie Laconi and Stalker.
They still havent got factory bikes, but more factory help especailly for Chris who has tested the new bike for Kawasaki in Japan. But I fear the three bikes will be too much for the team. Saying that, if Nieto is as rubbish as he was last year he will get the boot as he did from Cracchi. Think he is bringing loadsamoney. Seems Cardoso disease hits WSB too!

And MCNews Australia confirmed that N I Tram is right, Joshifumi SS, Rolfo SBK.

Joshifumi is not paying and not being payed for his ride, the Honda teams wanted him to pay and that was an issue.

They have

A return to South AFrica to close of the season looks interesting. Does anyone else notice the lack on non-european rounds in the championship with only 3 taking place outside Europe (Australia, Qatar and South Africa)

Normally it'd be
RSA -> Aus -> Japan -> *Europe* -> USA -> *Europe*

So only the US round is missing, but if Elkheart upgrades itself to WSBK spec as rumoured, or if barber steps up.

I guess if there is full-full manufacturer suppoert, like Kawasaki and Yamaha there will inevitably be a Japenese round again.

As predicted...

It's been a quiet week for the World Superbike championship. The much-rumored announcement that Max Biaggi would be joining the Alstare Suzuki team never developed, but it is known that series principals the Flammini brothers are working to get Biaggi a spot in the Superbike world championship.

I've heard a rumour that Fabien Foret was being linked as a third Alstare Corona Suzuki WSB rider. Are Alstare running a supersport team this year?
