Connor De Phillippi on VLN6: http://www.gt-report.com/2017/09/09/...s-in-the-rain/
“It was one of the most difficult races I’ve had to do,” the American says. “Especially at the beginning, in my first stint, it was incredibly difficult with half the track being wet. I’ve never experienced that here at the Nürburgring. Even though I’ve done a lot of races, I’ve never before been in a situation where I needed to be on slicks when the track is almost completely wet.” |

Through a combination of your site and the archived races on Youtube, the VLN series has quickly become one of my favorites for sure. The length of the lap and varied classes makes the racing really exciting and I think you guys capture that so well. Both words and images are fantastic. Likewise keep up the great work!

Miguel - you and your team continue to produce great written content and photography around the Ring races. Well done. Would love to say hello at the 2018 N24 if it works out. Keep it up. Thanks.

You means they entered the race by using PORSCHE 911 GT3R with the minor upgrades right??? Or even the bigger one (major upgrades) like BMW M6 GT3 EVO right? What do you think? |

What happened with #911 in the race, because I've seen photos of it being mounted by a BMW and the BMW ending up over the armco on it's roof?

it was a clumsy overtaking by the 911, just after the driver change. In an attempt to keep up with the leader, he cut back in on the BMW too early which put him in a spin, facing the oncoming BMW which could not avoid him. It mounted the bonnet, then the roof and rolled over the barrier. V nasty looking.

VLN8 race report: http://www.gt-report.com/2017/10/11/flying-high/
Dieter Schmidtmann was in the Phoenix Audi, he wouldn't have put up a fight against Cairoli. A bit of a shame that Cairoli fell into that trap, but I'm sure it's a lesson for him. Shame it had to cause so much damage. |

And that was that! Five wins is a bit much, maybe even too much. Manthey didn't even show up for all of the nine races. Oh well, at least we got to see Lars Kern win.
VLN9 report: http://www.gt-report.com/2017/10/27/domination/ Interview with Lars Kern later today. |

Interview with Eifelblitz racer Thomas Jäger, talking about the sentiments of racing for Johannes Scheid, the good and bad of 2017 and a bit of GT3 critique (he should know as he did one season in Blancpain GT): http://www.gt-report.com/2017/11/12/...est-decisions/
