This is dependant on what you're doing though. We've seen earlier today that a stop can be done quick enough to get back out into the same pack. Depends on pack length I suppose.

It wouldn't probably have made much difference ... unless they wanted to change the nose, which did now not happen

#2 due to pit anyway, so he needs to gap Conway as much as he can.

I thought that pitlane exit was closed during safety-car operation and only opened momentarily when the next safety car came through with its train. As soon as a car entered pitlane, it would have to wait at the end, and the red light would only turn green on the next safety car.

The pit lane opens as the tail of the pack goes by, and then back to red. So if you can pit quickly as the pack goes by, you'll join the tail of the pack you were in, depending on how long the pack is. I never considered this an option until today as it happened a few times during the opening SC because the SC was running quite slowly.

Yes, I see that it can work if the pack you're in is very large (long) and you're near the front of the pack.

Seeing the replays at Mulsanne, someone should paint a target on that tyre wall

28 has had yet another off. Krohn now in the Porsche curves, minus the tyre from the LR.

Interesting in GTE that the Astons can run laps on the pace of the leaders, if not quicker. Maybe their Dunlop tyres suit the cooler conditions better.

Clutch issues for both Rebellions necessitating replacement are not confirmed, then?
