I agree!

The photo is the outline of the James Courtney photo. If you think it isn't, then you are kidding yourself.

Besnard would be a good choice. He is more mature now, gets on well with James and has worked with the team before.

I don't know why people rate Steve Owen so highly. I've got nothing against him, but I can't see what all of the fuss is about. If he was as good as everyone makes out, he would have a drive somewhere already (Jack daniels, GRM, HSV are all possibilities).

Also, if Toll to end up at HRT, then I still think Autobarn will find some space on the HSVDT cars. So a link to SBR is probably a red herring. It was more a link when Dumbrell looked like going there. And I seem to recall SBR talking about the need to find a different new sponsor for #9.

So I think it will be Bessy at #9, and I wouldnt mind betting there will be a white bear look on it. Hey, Bundaberg isn't too far from Yatala, all importantly in the same state...

Autosport January 17th 2008:
'VAN GISBERGEN AT STONE
New Zealander Shane van Gisbergen is expected to be announced shortly as Russell Ingall's full-time replacement at Stone Brothers Racing. The teenager replaced Paul Radisich in the Team Kiwi Racing car prepared by SBR last year, but is set to line-up alongside James Courtney for the new season.'

Well the badge on the front of the car had a lion on it

It's a shame then Holden didn't make an effort to put him in one of their cars. As someone else said, i would've picked him over Dumbrell for the HSV seat

You're not wrong. while i liked the old westpoint livery this just doesn't do it for me yet. Maybe when i see it in the flesh i may change my mind.

What happened to the yellow? No one runs yellow anymore. If you want to stand out go yellow!

So the first Livery is out, as a SBR fan can't say I'm a fan of it not sure about the two different signages on the sides hope it looks better in the flesh than on paper. Also noticed that the numbers are on the rear windows.

Given that there have been 2 liveries released and neither of them are anything special, I hope someone comes out with something decent soon or it could be a pretty ordinary looking year....

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
what are you expecting ffrom a livery. if that is an ugly design then i think our expectations are two high.

a livery has one purpose and that is to showcase the sponsor. it does that well. its blue (hooray too much red last year and most importingly it will stand out on the track

I don't like split liveries, and this one for me falls into that category, otherwise not too bad

the design is the same on both side, just some wording is different

It is strange that the logos used in the mock up arent the regular colours of the sponsor... indeed it is rare to see the Corinthian brand, without "Doors" straight after....

No sight of the 2nd car it seems....

... nor a replacement oil sponsor....

The liveries that have appeared so far may do the minimum that peckstar suggests, but they are meant to stand out and attract attention to themselves and the product that they are selling, neither of them do that. The SBR one in particular is not as good as last years design.
