And we wait for January's "frosty is hard as nails and FPR are championship favourites" article....

I bet Adrian Burgess is having a quiet chuckle to himself after Rolands comments last year.

Roland's people generally stay a fair while, I do wonder if Adrian Burgess might have indicated he was staying longer.

Makes you wonder.

Lucky Grant is going on good terms because it seems a hurried departure.

The difference is Roland being the hard nosed professional would have either had his engineer who was involved in the design of the new car tied up so tight he couldn't breath or ensured that if he was moving he would either not have been involved or been on gardening leave until it didn't matter.

Have FPR shot themselves in the foot again.

It was more important than just a crew member switching teams. ABT took over some of RD's roles, thus freeing him to concentrate on other things. Probably took until Dutto was promoted to get back to square one, about a year later.

Have FPR taken a big hit on the budget since Ford walked?

RD still owes Ford a few return serves

Pretty sure it was closer to 18 months ago, like halfway through the season.

Gardening leave ensued.

I honestly don't know why all this is such a big deal. Nobody kicks up a fuss when I change jobs.

Some people like to take every opportunity to kick FPR.

Maybe my memory is beer-affected but I don't recall too much public aggro from RD after Adrian made his announcement.

Didn't he just send him to the naughty corner for the rest of the season?

Sadly FPR's fall from competitiveness can't be ascribed to only one person!

What exactly did Penske buy anyway?

This week's AA talks about how loyal all the crew there are.. while now there are many less of these 'loyal' people in the building

So much for the big investment if they are chopping the team half. Come back Charlie all is forgiven....

With all the huff & puff from the fans about how Penske will use all their money & might to take it up to 888. Yet they can't/won't find the coin to run a second car ?

That's nice, but running a race car out of your own pocket is not a smart investment.

This is why tarting up the workshop, and improving equipment and personell is a smarter option for now.

The DJR factory needed a birthday, which it now seems to be getting. The chrome race trailer cant be far away either .

The only thing that is odd is that Penske thus far doesnt seem to have leaned on their US sponsor partners in Miller Beer, Shell Pennzoil, Wurth and others to fill the car.

What will Mr Pye drive in the interim?

If they're happy to keep him on as their enduro driver, I'd suspect he'll feature in DVS next year. As to who will provide the car, is anyone's guess.
