The last conversation I had with a team (RAR) was a couple of seasons ago... and back then it was at least £350K.

He's a race winning driver, and regular top 10 finisher so actually I would have preferred to see him stay.

It depends on the team, anything from £300k upwards and that's without the extra for damage & repairs etc for BTCC.

Adding to that, they recently contracted an interested party to say they had a drive available now

Oh and the leading contender for the 1st seat is still the lead contender, read into that what you will.............................................................

Cook posted up about working with the Clio boys again, although that may be just support through Cooksport

Looks like 2 Toyota for Gilham if I've correctly identified the rear quarter shot with his name on it tweeted out this morning!

Teams look better with matching cars and it looks like they may have picked up some more sponsorship from RCIB assuming they aren't title sponsor for BMR anymore.

Lots of hand written messages on the boot lid - what's that all about?

Simple answer to the picture. The Gilham car is the one they finished the season in, the one behind is the new car for this season.

I was assuming they would be throwing RML parts at it but that was literally a guess.

I may be wrong here, but I'm 98% sure Matt's running GPRM this season.

You are 100% correct on that one, Matt's Civic is running GPRM kit. That came from the man himself

does he want to run at the back ?

or maybe it's due to RML kit availability and he will get it later in season ?

Or maybe, possibly, it's down to cost and availability with a view to maximising pre season testing and learn as much as possible about a new breed of machine which in itself was clearly the class of the field in 2015 and should not be THAT far off the pace in 2016.

Maybe

Which makes no sense to me. By the end of 2016 he will have gotten to grips to the GPRM machine, only to throw all that knowledge out of the door again when he has to start over with the RML parts. By then the rest of the field will have a year on him.

To me it sounds like cutting costs in the wrong place.

So although he couldn't do a deal with Handy, Hunter Abbott has managed to sort one with PMR, interesting to see how he gets on with FWD!

Didn't see that one coming but it doesn't fill me with excitement. Hope they have some spare panels!

http://www.btcc.net/2016/02/24/power...hunter-abbott/

the last Paragraph

"We have several options for our final seat,” he explained. “We are talking to some familiar faces, a multiple BTCC champion and one or two new drivers. All of them would make a great pairing with Hunter, but you know what this part of the season is like for speculation and rumour, so you will just have to wait and see.”

So I suspect Gio would be the multiple champion , Josh Cook would still be in contention and im not sure on the others
