To end a championship race under a safety car is just sad. If a gentleman driver is incapable of running in the rain, than park your car and let the big boys race.

Orrible way to end a championship.. Afraid for VDS, they deserved that title.. Hate that f******ing amateur drivers.. They should stop them from racing when the track gets wet..

The fans lose out, the drivers lose out, the sponsors lose out. But Audi wins the title, so that is a victory for the SRO as well. And that is all that matters to them. I wouldn't blame VDS if he pulls the cars out of the series and focuses on WEC and bikes from here on.

such a pity the way weather interfered with the championship sometimes, especially right at the end, but it was a great season in general, BES once again showing you don't need all these stupid, artifical rules to manufacture genuine drama in sportscar racing - I wish the guys at GrandAm and several other series around would take note.
Such a shame for Marc VdS, they really deserved the title and to watch that unfold at the end would have been sensational, but not to be and I hope they'll be back in some form or another in GTs. I fear 2013 will see an exodus from this series, with teams concentrating on national championships rather than this, but was a very memorable year and hope there's as many people wanting to do it again next year. |

Full stands, for anyone questioning why the BES and GT1 went to spain. Some countries do their business, others no, it's true dissapointing with Ferrari in F1 helps the growth of GT racing, but the full weekend race entrance was 12€ which helps. |

Udragon that's a maximum 1000 people stand...
Superstars got 33thousand last weekend in valllelunga, and even that is not too much.. Beside that I really can't stand why people still belive in sro championship... AUDI has to win as audi pays ratel.... |

Can someone remind why Ratel loves Navarra so much? Is it a shampoo industry hotbed or exporter of money trees?

Audi won because the third car, because both VDS finished before the second audi (If we eliminate the third car entered for this round) BMW could had entered one. In terms of drivers champ you may be right. Last edited by urdragon; 15 Oct 2012 at 22:37. |

Nice bulls running on the streets on the SanFermines.. And acording to stands view, enhances the reputation of racing events there, cause +12K€ is the small contribution of the tickets there.

I don't think they are too worried about ticket revenue, Magny Cours had free admission last year. Would not be surprised if there have been other free rounds since.

Dejavu? BMW should've beaten Audi at their own game and entered both Schubert cars full of works drivers. |

Regarding the LONG safety car period? I have been told BOTH Marc VDS drivers described the conditions as 'tricky'. Read that as you will.
I believe there is clear video evidence to back up the appeal against the result, btw. |

Very tricky, Maxime Martin spin himself , as Soucek and many other drivers, without forgetting the Audi num 2 finished on the gravel....

So what was the alleged pitstop infringement?
