Given this year's spectator attendances at GT rounds on the Nationals, nobody would see what they would do or possibly care.

ff will the 430 be able to last the distance? Alan seems to have had a few teething problems with the new car in the last few rounds.

The Wall RSR will be quick with the long straights with the lack of restrictions, and Dave showed lots of pace there earlier this year in the CC.

You would think the Gallardos would be quickest over a lap with the long straights but with so many variables it should be quite close.

Any updates on the situation of Lilley - Bowe - TLA car?

Normally, PI is a V8 advantage track... where the extra 200BHP they have out weighs the aero advantage and weight of the Ferrari...

I'm amazed the V8's are not going faster... the lap record is from 1999 Lowndes... it's not ALL tyres...

It would be interesting to see what a Supercar could do around there on Michelins... if you could get the bag width/height together...

I am sure the Dunlop tyre gets more conservative as the seasons pass... if these cars were back on the "open" Bridgestones... the hot times would be a lot better.

But Phillip Island has a LOT of change of direction, of needing mid corner speed... as well as the blat down the front straight... V8s arent great at that.. when the tyres have no lateral grip

I don't doubt the Gallardo's speed, but an unrestricted GT2 car is going to be fast just look up a few posts

Hopefully the cars are reliable otherwise there may only be a handful left by 4pm on sunday

The engine is now all fixed, and lots of new parts have been fitted, and the car has been extensively prepped for the event...

For around ~A$400,000 you could certainly find out

Amazing that they are that cheap... the white PHR 360 Challenge Sandown 500 winner allegedly cost US$200k, which was near enough to A$400,000 back then!

Its just his pathetic excuse for making money, they have been driving on and off in the series for 3 years now if he wasn't happy with the management why did they spend the money in the first place

Well that is hugely disappointing. Every time we get close, something falls apart. But anyway, good cars and good drivers still on show.

That issue wouldnt have anything to do with the fall out from the Simonsen vs Bowe incident at Symmons Plains, would it ?

Well for next year - Really in front of the GP audience, the A1 audience and in to a lesser extent, in Adelaide, most probably won't know what went on here so a couple of Lambos, Ferraris, Lotus', Porsches will look quite good. They just will have to get the promo right for that and ensure they treat the promoters of the main event with some class. The real test will be in '09...
