Yes, that was announced later in the morning. The 2 place grid penalty was already in place, but wouldn’t have stopped the team winning the shoot out trophy. C’est la vie......

I recall watching the Bentley at Bathurst last year, I think it was, and it seems to be so big to be hustled around the circuit. I do admire it's pilots for their skill.

On the matter of Bentleys, when we were young and stupid dashing around the streets of North London, the one car we could never keep up with was a Bentley that was driven around by a friend of yours who was employed as a chauffeur by the owner of the Bentley. Not only was it fast in a straight line, but it cornered as if on rails.

The Aston Martins sound pretty good as well. I've seen the Bentley GT's in action on track in the UK and they are surprisingly nimble given their size.

Very envious, I have watched the Aussie supercars for years and numerous races at Bathurst and always loved the circuit but somehow I think it's outside of my spectator schedule

Yup, British race cars make the best noise- official! AMG next best.....

Noise is all part of the mystique. I love the Corvettes because of the V8 n/a sound. It won’t be the same with the mid engined Turbo V6...

Anyway, the A2A car was a genuine ur quattro, not a Coupe quattro.
And i could be offended by the gibe. Ur quatttos are still a much inderrated and under valued car!!

Was pleased that my wife’s sort of team ( she hates sport, but if pushed would want Norwich to win as she is Norfolk born and bred) beat Leeds. My brother in law is a Leeds season ticket holder but i have always disliked them from the 70s, when significant rumours emerged of Don Revie trying to bribe Wolves players to throw the last match of the season so they could win the double.

Pity the good sports weekend is being ruined by the English cricket team!

Newcastle coming on strong. Beating Cardiff was not so much of a shock, but obviously something must have been up with Man City, maybe Newcastle just shellshocked them. Looks like things could be on the up for NUFC. Although Spurs to be fair are on form, which is not good for an Arsenal fan

Not familiar with international time differences then, Max.

The race will no doubt be on a ‘player’ soon. The top ten shootout for pole is worth watching as well.....
