The schedule is extremely packed. I wonder how teams and drivers will cope, especially in October with a round every weekend.

They should have binned off Abu Dhabi. Surely the FIA will be relaxed on different continents this year (they've only got two anyway) and that trip is going to add serious cost.

Whilst I agree that Abu Dhabi should have been ditched - is the cost covered by Abu Dhabi? Are they paying for the WRX circus to go there?

Every track pays a large amount for this series to go to each venue, it is why the calendar changes so much anyway. Most are paid by local or regional government.

They pay a hosting fee but do Abu Dhabi pay freight costs as well? So is that round cost neutral for the teams?

I am not sure, I would expect so, but then all the other rounds would be pushed to do the same so probably not, I would think IMG perhaps take some of the costs out of the registration fees maybe.
All adds up to a series for the rich really which is a shame, I recall the days when P&O used to often do deals for scores of guys to go to ireland, Europe, was about the only way people could compete abroad I think. |

Jani Paasonen has set up his own team to compete in the World Rallycross Championship with a Ford Fiesta.

At the moment even I'd have budget to compete in the 2020 season...

It’s ok, I’m sure you can find a car to do it

The French round of the revised calendar has now been cancelled:
https://www.motorsport.com/world-rx/...virus/4794855/ Unsurprising I guess. Presumably they'll just leave the rest of the calendar as it is for now rather than have another reshuffle. |

Few stories being shared about it on Facebook today with a proposed date at the end of August. I like the circuit, so would be good to see an event there.
The entry list for the "All Star" event at Holjes looks rather good as well. I would normally give pay-per-view events a wide berth, but I am definitely paying for this one. |

That is a tough precedent for IMG to take in my opinion.
Is there really an appetite for it? I somehow doubt it |

The Holjes event in a couple weeks has a fairly decent entry list https://www.rallyx.se/2020/06/19/all...ally-revealed/
£17 for the livestream isn't cheap but you do get 4 days of coverage and will be available on demand so I've made a rash decision to pay it even though I probably won't be able to watch much live. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |

Oliver Solberg confirmed at "All Stars" and a comment in the press release hints that Petter will be there.
Interesting news snippet concerning the 2021 season: https://www.motorsport.com/world-rx/...ubaru/4810399/ If the times at Canada last year were anything to go by, the STI could be competitive at World level. Have Vermont/Subaru got the budget for it? |

Thierry Neuville and Timmy Hansen also confirmed in crossbar.
And Finland is back on the WRX calendar for this year with a double header. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |

Watching the Q1 from Nordic RX and that new livery of Gronholm's looks superb. Rebound of the suspension over the kerbs looks stunning too, not sure if that's new or just that I've never noticed before.
Love that they've got a drone cam for replays of the starts too, chance for some very cool shots. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |

My annoyance so far is the constant talking, interviews and talking, and no crosscart coverage except for Neuville, with focus only on Neuville.
