Interesting to see what 888 will do. Don't think there's much future for the MG.

Anyone got an idea who it was that was testing alongside Cook for Power Maxed today? I thought maybe Richard Hawken, he's got the budget and I'm sure mentioned something about a podium finishing car.

Looks a lot less agricultural and a bit lighter than the GPRM frame.

Article on BTCC Crazy suggesting that BMR may run cars other than the VWs next year. Can't really believe that until I see proof, but Warren Scott did mention before that he was trying to get manufacturer backing, be it from Volkswagen or otherwise.

I would love to see a proper RWD Merc, or an Alfa Romeo.

Hopefully stronger and lighter too. There have been plenty of cracked subframes and the weight was criticised.

That looks like a major improvement, can't help thinking that unless teams take the upgrade they will be consigned to the rear of the field!

so starting from scratch it seems Team Dynamics and BMR will have a major advantage cos they have 4 cars each where they can gain a lot of telemetry data

who knows, if Jordan goes to Eurotech in a 3rd Civic it will be 5 Civics with 3 top drivers

Power Maxed on Twitter:

Testing in Dave's BTCC car, a current @DunlopBTCC driver who went nearly 2 seconds a lap faster in our car than he did in his last machine!

Could be Richard Hawken..

I didn't think he'd count as a 'current' driver - I was assuming it was someone who finished the season.

Turns out it was Stewart Lines, good luck to him!

They confirmed it was just a one off test and no deals are signed with any drivers for next year yet! Interesting what a difference a car can make, especially one that is set up well. I'm not knocking Houseman but a one car team can struggle to get set-up's compared to bigger 2 car teams.

I wonder if the price of the seats at Power Maxed have gone up for 2016?

Can't help but think Houseman could be a casualty of the silly season. Really are not covering themselves in glory sadly.

They said 2 seconds, not 10 seconds !

As already mentioned it was Stewart Lines. His previous car was one of the original overweight GPRM-built cars so not surprising he's quicker in a more recent and better built car.

Interestingly Newsham's name was no longer on the car and all his sponsor decals had been either blacked out or removed, yet Cook's car still had all the logos intact. Make of that what you will.

BillWiskins should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
http://www.touringcartimes.com/2015/...for-2016-btcc/

Not completely sure what this actually means in terms of affecting the race - a more durable soft tyre? Meaning that it might reliably be an advantage rather than a handicap to be on the soft set in any given race?

I'm betting on Motorbase.

Certainly Mr Bartrum was confident about funding for the year ahead but no mention of details, can't help but think this deal has been long since signed.

Eurotech wanted announcement by end of month but Jordan is Motorbase.

Jack Clarke hopefully for Eurotech, mainly because I loved the Crabbies livery.

Clarke is the Honda junior driver. I would be stunned if he doesn't get a drive with Eurotech, considering it's Honda B team status.
