endurance-info.com had a chat with Nicolas Minassian and can confirm that Creation is working on the hybridation of the Jota chassis and will debut the second car at Donington. The 2nd car will be driven by Minassian and Campbell Walter and is powered by a Judd GV5 S1. The first car, driven by Ortiz and Gabbiani, uses the S2 evolution of Judd GV5. According to the drivers the difference between both engines is not so big in terms of power and torque; only the gravity centre is a bit lower because of the 20 kg diet.

The car has received a new cooling system and finally bigger brakes for Nürburgring; previously Creation still used the smaller LMP675 brake discs. It seems to pay off because Minassian put the car on pole

The car is working better but still not quite there--at least for Nurburgring. It seems that the small wheel/tyre combination hurt them in the race. Bicks was commenting on preserving their tyres, so it seems to be in the front of their thinking.

Donington will be different as less importance is placed on mechanical grip and more on aero balance at that circuit. Also Donington is very hard on brakes.

With two cars (and, hopefully, one with an all-pro line-up) they ought to be at the top of the field. Hopefully Pesca will make the journey--even though tehy have won the championship. I, for one, want to see a race. Pro racers in top cars.

According to Mariantic.co.uk and projectlemans.de the Creations will be at the Mosport ALMS round now as well as PLM and LS. That's great news!

One of the commentators Said the teams chose to stay with those wheels/tyres they got up to temperature quicker and this was good for Q. I thought this odd for endurance racing. And in over the weekend we saw the advantages and disadvantages.

I meant to check what they were running after hearing this and you've just reminded me and confirmed it.

Creation for the last 3 ALMS races, not Zytek? Didn't Endurance Info have the same report about Zytek, probably with Stefan Johannsson? I pray for both, but something tells me I might end up seeing neither.

I may be wrong but I think Creation have only indicated PLM and Laguna for ALMS this year.

A Zytek for Mosport, Laguna Seca and Petit Le Mans.

I hope Johannsson's interest in LMP racing got a boost after LM and LMS so he enters a LMP under the Johannsson Motorsports banner in ALMS (or LMS) next season.

I forgot to mention this when you first posted the above, Gwyllion. I suspect JCW may well be driving the existing car at Donington alongside Gabbiani and Ortiz, and that Nic will drive the ex Jota chassis with another driver who has not previouly raced with the team. I don't think the identity of the second driver has been made public yet..........

Why would they do that as Minassian and JCW made a great partnership!

I hope they are quick--whoever it is.

Ok, had a quick look around and it would appear that the name(s) have already been mentioned (Mariantic). The rumour is that Nic Minassian will be heading stateside and will be partnered by Thomas Serwin with the possibility of Gabriele Gardel joining them for PLM. I suspect that this pairing will debut at Donington before heading across the pond.

I also spotted on Mariantic that the coupe is now due in 2008, not 2007!
