Quite envious of those of you who made it. The WEC will always come first for me because I want to make the most of a World Sportscar Championship while it lasts having not been born before the last iteration imploded, but in many ways the British GT meeting would have been a much more pleasant meeting. |

A great day at Oulton yesterday, my first time to that particular track. Some great racing, just a shame about the odd safety car procedure in race one splitting the field.
Does anyone know the condition of the driver in the first VW race? We saw him extracted from the car and then airlifted away from the circuit but I couldn't find any update last night. |

I know this came up earlier but I found no answer: Does anyone know many spectators were at Oulton Park last weekend?

Not sure, but at least it felt plenty busy.
By the way, if anyone is interested, a few of my photos can be found here: http://photo.gtnewswire.com/gallery/...itish-gt-2014/ |

Does anyone know why the GPRM Toyota dropped out? Will they be back or are they a no-show again this year?

Apologies for the double post, but what kind of power are the GT4 cars running these days?

Just packed up my stuff for the drive to Rockingham in the morning. Properly looking forward to it.

Can't wait. Hopefully we'll have the racing quality of the BTCC. Hoping an Aston can take the spoils...

Just got home. What I saw of things (from post 13, turns 5 thru 6/7) was brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed the race, although had to have my eyes in three directions at once!
Must watch the TV coverage. Hopefully the rest of the circuit matched what I saw |

Yes, nice shots from Oulton.
Rockingham then and the first 'endurance' race of the season. I'm indifferent towards the track if I'm honest but I thought the GT4 racing I saw in the Motors TV highlights was very good. What was Luke Hines thinking with 'that' move on his BMW team mate? How did Rob Barff manage to miss the red light at the end of the pit lane like he did and still win the race after a drive through? What were the others doing! Can anyone enlighten me on why Strata did not run the Nissan? Last edited by cg7aa; 17 May 2014 at 21:32. |

I've just been browsing the official BGT website; no race reports yet for this year? Results only lists the teams?
Should have gone to DSC. |

I just read that-wow that sounded like a exciting race with stuff happening left right and centre.

Nothing against Rob Barff but watching him from the stands I'm scepticle about anyone "missing" the red light. Everyone else managed (even a couple on the same red light as him) and he just powered out ahead of the train. Thus leaving him the chance to build a big enough lead that if they did get a drive through it wouldn't leave them second.
Nothing against playing the rules like that, it's very clever, just feel that as at least a dozen other drivers spotted the red light and waited I'm not convinced Rob could have missed it so easily. |

According to Autosport, it seems that they 'struggled' with the Nissan at Oulton, and decided to switch to the Aston for Rockingham- and apparently will be sticking with that for the rest of the season.
We might not have seen the last of the Strata 21 Nissan though- apparently White and Onslow-Cole may run it in other endurance races outside British GT, and Autosport believe it is likely to be back for the rest of the British GT season with different drivers. 35 cars confirmed so far for Silverstone- the regulars being joined by the Jim/Glynn Geddie United Autosport McLaren, and in GT4 the returning APO Sport entry for May/Osborne, though with a Porsche rather than last year's Ginetta, and a GT4 Aston from Track Group, with Paul O'Neill on board. http://www.britishgt.com/newsitem.php?key=2031 Autosport also expect another Nissan from JRM, subject to them confirming a second driver to share with Craig Dolby |

Am I the only one who's 'surprised' about the "nationality" of Beechdean AMR on the official website : http://www.britishgt.com/pointsn.php
