A linkage with Mithras, who latterly was associated with Helios, the Sun God? So implying it will in some way be solar powered?

Or should we be more lateral and see this as an indication that the team will be set up as a religion, which probably opens up new lines of funding?

So is this the first time we've seen the words "LMP1" and "2015" together on an official Nissan press release?

Someone pointed out something interesting, Nissan could stick together two of the ZEOD-RC engines to make a 3.0L TT V6 with >600 HP for the LMP1 car |

That engine is, wow, too light to be true, which really shows how far light-weight advantage of petrol engine can go to.

There's an illustration/mockup of a Nissan LMP1 car in the Japanese Auto Sport magazine:
http://www.as-books.jp/books/info.php?no=AST20140214 (click the book icon to preview, pages 32 and 33). Preview screenshots: http://www.as-books.jp/preview/1938/33/ http://www.as-books.jp/preview/1938/32/ This magazine looks awesome through and through, by the way. Reminds me of the old Le Mans Series & Sportscar Racer magazine. |

And the Alpine is just an Oreca 03-Nissan with a different badge on it. It even uses the same Nissan VK 45 ex-Super GT engine that most of the LMP2 field now uses.
Same thing as Morgan putting their name on the LMP2 version of the OAK Pescarolo 01 cars. But considering that this is about Nissan here, would Nissan build their own cars, or get into an engine supply deal like they have in LMP2 in so far as that they'd use a customer chassis to at least get started (sort of like what AMR/Prodrive tired to do with Lola)? |

(and be careful to mention the Lola/AMR thing, you might cause a larger off topic debate ) |

Notice how after bombarding us with press releases about every little thing regarding the ZEOD, Nissan has been awfully silent lately? One has to begin to wonder if the Panoz lawsuit has legs? I would not be surprised if their G56 entry goes away and they spin it as a decision to allocate all resources towards getting fully ready for 2015.
