A few more Mods than I anticipated, and a few less Stock Hatch. (Can`t be a bad thing!!!).

"Kudos" to Mr TW for posting this up.

OK, so now we know where we stand. Based on this I will show, as I expect most others on this board will. I don`t think there are too many "casual" speccies that browse this that will have been put off by a small entry. I guess at around 50p per car the entry price is still a little pricey,... but given the time of year beggars can`t be choosers I guess.....

The only other snag is who ACTUALLY shows on the day. If the posted entry list turns into a J Tucker entry list then by mid-morning on the 3rd there could well be something resembling an Angry Mob at Lydden!!

Action starts at 9 with practice followed by Timed Practice and then the normal 3 heats and finals - No Superfinal though as this is not British Championship.

We are hopefull the entry will appear as we have a fully completed entry form for each one above - at this late stage non appearance can be an expensive waste of money.

Therefore to say over and out would mean you want a response but have finished the conversation! It there for is never used - if said over the radio most people would laugh at you and then try and get you to say the phonetic alphabet as they want a bit more of a laugh! geek bit finished

Thanks for all the info KA I'm looking forward to dragging half the family down for a fun but chilly day out

Thanks KA for publishing the entry list, we can now make an informed decision.
Hopefully some analysis on the poor entry will feature in post event discussions.
Apart from the reasons you state, maybe:
Entry forms being available soon enough?
Cost of entry?
Uncertain if the event was going ahead?
etc etc
Good luck with the event, well done for updating the web site and hopefully 2009 will really put Lydden back on the map for RallyX AND RACING

REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO IT, SHAME ABOUT THE LOW ENTRY AS WE ARE MAKING THE LONG TRIP DOWN FROM NEWCASTLE UPON THE MIGHTY TYNE, A BIGGER ENTRY LIST WOULD MAKE IT MORE WORTH WHILE, BUT HEY, WE WOULD TRAVEL EVEN IF THERE WAS ONLY HALF A DOZEN ENTERED.
LOOKING FORWARD TO A FANTASTIC 2009 SEASON

BB its not that people have it in for what you say or support its just their point of view! So please can you reframe from always saying the say stuff !! Its getting tedeous
There are a few issues which need to be ironed out and im sure KA is on the case as hes the right man for the job in my eyes (WELL DONE LYDDEN) Think 2009 will be a better place with Tony in charge of things down here.

Ive heard a rumour that there is on the cards a new team in stock hatch All made up of drivers from the past (quick ones too) so hopefully its true!!

was a fairly good event considering the amount of cars entered. The only full grid - supermodified final - was a good race as well as the supercar final as despite having only 3 cars they were all driven by top quality drivers,

Not sure i like joker laps...

I quite liked the joker lap - although I think with more cars it would make it a bit more fun however, with more cars but I don't think I'd remember who had done the joker and who hadn't!

Ollie had a good lead in the RX150s but spun down to finish third, it was good to watch him catch-up though

The Joker lap was better than I had anticipated, I don't think it's going to be significantly slower than the usual track when it's dry and warm though.

The extra loose section at Chesson's made for some good side-by-side racing, with a lot of frozen mud carried to the Elbow, which kept the gravel trap busy!

Overall, I thought that it was a good event that was worth going to see, the frozen track looked lethal in the morning but the all-day sun was very welcome.

Looking forward to February with more cars, can you order the sunshine for then as well please King Arthur

Got to say that I didn't bound out of bed this morning to come along but so very glad I did. Ok so they grids weren't huge but frankly I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

The fact I was sat at the Elbow most of the morning was a co-incidence...

Well done guys. Can see the work that's gone in to it.

I thought it was a very good event. The 3 supercars put on a great show, and have to say that the RX150s were also very entertaining!

Slightly concerned that in the dry the cars will be coming out of the joker lap about 20mph faster than the others. I can see a few accidents happening (a la Hill and Pauwels close encounter). Speaking to Steve Hill, he seemed to think that the joker had been approved for the ERC... anyone able to confirm?

Other than that, was some excellent racing on what must have been the least forgiving Lydden track conditions that I have ever seen! Well done to all for organising and remembering to bring the sunshine!

Oh, and Arthur mentioned that Liam went 145mph?! Fastest speed by a rallycross car?
