They won Sugo (their 4th race), came second in Suzuka in their next round, they failed to finish in 3 rounds but still placed 4th. Not bad for their first year if you ask me.

Heh, I actually like the front, but hate (,hate, hate) the boy racer'ish rear wing support...

From the video, it sounds JUST like the Porsche. I'm happy that it's not the V8 from their GT1 vehicle that wasn't even in the road car.
I have to admit it. I find the front just too outrageous/advanced/whatever you call it for GT3. Still, if it makes the car as good as possible, so be it. |

It makes it not seem like the road car, but i understand that will be the major performance increase from last year. The car is way uglier than GT1 version, tough i respect the fair play of maintain the road car's engine which the Z4 GT3 doesn't do. |

Are the diveplanes really any more extreme than what the Audi has in high downforce trim these days?
The one thing that has my worried is how long the diveplanes will stay on the car and what that would do to its competitiveness. Might be looking at a bit of a DTM-scenario here... |

Ridiculous how much aero it has, soon the cars will have wide arches like DTM cars.

Wow, a lot of aero going on there! Is it not inconceivable that next year's generation of GT3 cars will be as fast as, or indeed faster than the GTE cars?

^ They likely will be cause that's where the development has made it way to, and the competition. This is why we have the Unified GT class in a couple of years.

Not much can be done about it, if the road car looks from the front like a stove on wheels, then the race car would naturally look like a stove with some shelves

Knowing something about Russian fairy-tales I got better view why Nissan had taken that WC title. Just "By will of the Pike, do as I like".

Ok, from that car and what you're telling me, it's not as bad as we've all thought. Just must be the color of the parts in testing.

The wheels are more covered in the GT1 version (More aero, more bodywork-> SuperGT) this for me is more aesthetic than that ugly diveplanes tough it may be expensiver. Last edited by urdragon; 17 Nov 2012 at 10:49. Reason: More reasons |
