Still immensely confused by the whole Ginetta saga. Team talks the talk, cars and drivers turn up, but do virtually no running and circulate well off the pace.
To me there's something more to this, is the car (or engine) a complete dog, and there too embarrassed to set timed laps? Just all feels so wrong, I actually wonder if they will even start the race, never mind finish. Would love to be proven wrong, of course |

The car started development before any others, but it's the only one that doesn't yet have a low downforce kit. |

According to United Autosports on Twitter, the latest red flag was apparently called due to radio comms failure to the marshals' posts.
EDIT: And back to green as soon as all the cars were back to the pits. |

Further confirmation that Sorenson is OK, but also sadly sort of confirmed that the #95 is done for the day. |

I'm following the second practice. Looking at the times and speed of practice 1, I'm impressed with the final speed of the Ligier, there is a mix in the top speeds between P1 and P2 cars.
Top Speeds On the P1 side, it looks like (aside Toyota and Rebellion), 3.22 looks to be the target lap time. As always ByKolles being slow in sectors 2 and 3. |

The comms are being...overly diplomatic. Let's be honest, the Ginetta is in trouble and the Oreca is still the goto car at Le Mans.
As we sit right now, all 9 Oreca are 1-9. It is still miles ahead of the rest of the LMP2 field. New teams to ELMS have chosen the Oreca as well (Racing Engineering and Duqueine). Unless you're getting a cheap deal elsewhere, there's no reason not to use an Oreca. |

Rebellion goes second. Buemi was about to go into the 18s until a BMW stuck it in the gravel.

Button got good sectors 1 and 2 just before going to pits before the SC went out. Looks like the SMP have a fast car too.
Hope to see Van der Zande doing some clean laps to compare with Gibson and AER engines. |

Are there any plans to correct the infamous Le Mans Safety Car impact?
More use of the VSC? Is that done here? I can't remember |

Yes they use Full course yellow (all cars go to the pit limit) and code 60 slow zones

SMP#17 was on a lap at least equal to the Rebellion but had a poor sector 3. There's a bit of speed there too.
