Good race! Shame for Cook and Sutton to be lose out so early but should be good in R2 with no ballast.

Great result for Osborne, pleased for him, and Smiley looked very quick in the Hyundai.

Great first race, unfortunate for Ash, his spinning incident was IMO down to some bunching, a racing incident I would say. 4 tenths quicker on his fastest lap than anyone else. He seems to have gelled with the car.

agreed the support races are usually good, just annoyed i could not be there to actually watch them, fingers crossed for later in the year but will need to purchase artic weather gear for brands in November

They were only going to allow 5,000 into Donington so nothing like normal BTCC crowd levels. To be honest everywhere I've been most people don't give a monkeys about social distancing. I just choose not to go.

I just watched it and saw very few people and those that were there looked well spaced out.
According to Tim Harvey, spectator numbers for Donington was going to be limited to around just 5k.

Yes. Also no cameras in the pit lane.

Unbelievably TOCA aren't insisting on anyone wearing masks, and there has been absolutely no virus testing.

Not like F1 where everyone has to test negative to be allowed on site, and everyone has to wear a mask all the time.

Cars are restricted to team personnel and drivers only as are the garages. Dishing out and collecting cameras would risk contamination.

I've been happy enough with the TV cameras so far. Hate the face mask on interview crap - Louise is remote, so why can't they stand in front of a fixed camera (with the camera man 2 metres plus away from them) and mike?

He's out of his depth and it's as simple as that. The difference in performance last season between himself and Caine was staggering.

He's now in a clogger of a car and will spend the entire season at the back.

It might sound harsh but had that been Neate flinging his car around with reckless abandon people would have been all over it.

There isn't a cameraman there. That camera is being remote controlled.

Fairly sure TOCA have said that face masks/ coverings are only necessary within the garages or if social distancing is impossible.
I would expect TOCA would also implemented a self certification system for all team personnel to make sure everyone hasn't had the virus within so many days, been in contact with someone who has had the virus or had to self isolate within so many days as well as having temperatures scanned each day.
