I just did a lap of Nurby in the TS010. A very strange experience. I was inevitably still in the GPL mind-set and I was quite a few corners in before I really appreciated just how these cars run on rails. Of course, I still managed to lose it a few times, but that was more because, surprisingly perhaps, I lost my bearings several times. Being so used to running the Ring in GPL, and looking out subconsciously for landmarks and so on, the track, although essentially the same, looked quite different, so I was making mistakes which I wouldn't have expected, knowing the GPL version of the track off by heart, so to speak.
It was great fun though. Unfortunately, I had to go out and didn't have enough time to complete a timed lap, but it will be interesting to see what I can manage when I get the time to do it. |

hmmm just found these don't know if they'll be any use to anyone
Driving Guide Setup Guide These are, I belive, Both useful for F1C, and hence PTC. Be warned these are large and very very detailed guides (the second is over 50 pages long, but then again whats the work printer for... ). The First requires winzip, and the second one requires Win Rar to open. Ed |

Off topic but is there an '94/'95' mod available for either F12002/F1C?

1994 Mod died I am afraid but there are individual cars available for download. You can get the '95 Mod here. http://racingmag.gamesurf.tiscali.de...5020a51ab5a2ab |

No, it doesn't, doesn't it?
The cars don't look good either with transparant pieces of bodywork for the Peugeot 905 1 Bis and periodically a lot of black/grey "stuff" coming out of one of the other cars... (think it was the C91 and i don't mean smoke or anything, just black/grey... stuff) I'll see if I can make a snapshot of the 905 and that black/grey stuff too. Oh nevermind, can't even choose a different team/car anymore... Ah, this is the car where al the black stuff comes out of from the rooftop. http://forum.racesimcentral.com/atta...hmentid=167121 Last edited by ASCII Man; 29 Mar 2004 at 16:07. |

oh boy, i installed new drivers for my geforce and now i can't even play the mod anymore.
****ing thing goes to 3D setup and then to F1C instead of PTC... This has got to be one of my worst experiences of a game to date. |

I must admit, installation and set up weas as easy as any game I've ever installed. I don't know why you're having so much difficulty.

I did have a couple of looks there, i reverted back to me old drivers and use 32 bit colors now and that looks to have fixed the majority of the problems.
Only some weird texturing problems on the 905's sometimes. (transparant bits) EDIT: extravagant use of the word 'now'. Last edited by ASCII Man; 29 Mar 2004 at 19:54. |
