Corvette used to have these problems on Goodyears in the early days, while the Michelin Vipers just hung on in there... looks like the boot's on the other foot now...

If what the US commentators are saying is correct it appears to be the rears on the DBR9's that are going off, I wonder if they will keep with a softer compound for the fronts and a slightly harder one for the back though?

True, the 550s also had Michelins but eqrly on the Vettes were spanked time and again by the Vipers, often becaude of tyres...

In fact, the Prodrive 550s started their development on Pirellis, before changing to Michelin after back-to-back tests...
If only Pirelli's engineers were as good as their sales and PR guys... |
