Agreed Tatounet and Eddy have performed sterling work in keeping us informed.
And yes the Beau Site it is. Cuvee Francorchamps and wild boar. |

To be very honest, the last pictures I nicked, sorry, borrowed from other websites (rather lazy I am).
Beau Site, hmm. I don't stay over anymore when at Spa, but when, it is only at Beau Site. Great food. |

Well it seem,s as though the Hotel thing in Franchorchamps just aint gonna happen! No matter whom I speak to ,I just do not seem to be able to get through to the powers that be.Apparently,it would seem that they do not want/need outsiders going in,offering job,s to local people etc, helping with the local economy. It,s all very frustrating, the funding was in place, the offer,s on the table, but I,m going to appologise and say sorry but it,s not happening!!!!

Hmm.. nice amount of tarmac "runoff" for drivers to accidentally on purpose not bother braking for the chicane

Yes but those walls are more of a deterent than (say) Suzuka which this configuration reminds me of.

Yes, a great place to park the waffle van.
Seriously, it does look to me like more of a problem if you do jump the chicane than at other places. |

That is how it looks at Stavelot corner. Seems that everything has gone, armco, the few trees next to the Med Centre and further up as well.
Loads of run off area. No picture yet of Brussels corner with masses of run off. |

A more finished like product. They are putting shed loads of tyres in front of the wall, I suspect they will place many more at the far end. Now THAT is a ramp! This is going to be one heck of a climb to the back of the pits. And to think that the first race is in a few weeks. |

Should make the first few laps interesting ,At least they have put in some drainage on the outside of Stavelot.

That pitlane looks impossibly narrow, if somebody breaks down whilst pitting there's not enough room to go around.
Or alternatively, I can see some driver rushing to get in the pits and pranging a wheel on either of the walls. |

Guess the first clobbering is going to be pitlane in and then the left turn, looks very narrow.
Even the pit entry from the busstop doesn't look like an easy one. The marshals are not going to be happy either, no place to put a stalled car. That means pushing it uphill all the way, with 27 cars waiting to come in, hot on your heels. Picture that in the dark. |

that first part of the chicane looks very tight - can modern f1 cars make that sort of a turn?
edit: of course it can, it just looks a lot tighter in that picture than in the ones on the other page... that's going to be very entertaining! |

There is a strong possibility of being shunted in the drivers side, very late turn-in,some clown is all locked up on you,r inside because he think,s there,s enough room and------#!! *****!!

Ah, I've seen Oly before somewhere.
That entry looks very narrow. After a long blast from Stavelot that could cause more then one problem. |
