Actually he was the only strongly rumoured name here in the forum, apart from Rowbottom being mentioned in a Honda, but he denied it himself.
Or has he just denied the Dynamics version? Anyway, I would also bet on Senna, and if it will be him who gets the seat, than we will have another new face in a Hyundai apart from Ingram if he gets there. |

Queried 'does that mean Rowbottom at Dynamics?' Rowbo then confirmed 'i doubt that TD would even consider me to be honest, but it’s nice to be in the frame [...] I am hoping to be back in the grid in 21 - if I get back on the grid I’ll do my best’ |

Actually AJs outspokenness was quite funny at some points but now it’s just getting tiresome.
I haven’t heard anyone say a bad thing about Dick Bennetts and WSR before (from the outside looking in) so I do find it strange. |

I think AJ's doings will prevent him from ever returning to the BTCC.
I liked him when he was in the BTCC and cheered for him in 2013 when he got the title but what he's doing now is just loathsome. He was always kind of arrogant but the WSR saga is simply terrbile. If he's bashing arguably the best team in the business, no one will ever be interested in talking to him. |

I don’t understand AJ’s outbursts either. I can understand his frustrations, but no doubt he’s venting it in the wrong way and in the wrong direction too. It’s a massive shame really, because he’s a great loss to the BTCC in terms of talent and really if he focused all his energy into getting back in the championship he would be much more respected

As you say, his frustration is understandable but I also believe he could try to make a return instead of being a keyboard warrior on Twitter. I'd like to see him back but his recent actions are simply distasteful. |

Kind of hoping its gonna be a big name driver for btc maybe one that will require being run separately to the other 2 drivers due to a title sponsor.....but I'm sure it won't be. |

I wondered if anyone else would pick up on that as both said it as passing comment and didn't dwell on it. Considering we started last year with a driver who didn't even have a race licence 6 months earlier, it's hard to disagree with their viewpoint.

It is a shame that the motorsport ladder in the UK at least doesn't seem to work as it used to anymore and that money does all the talking. Which is probably what puts people off the BTCC. Yes the drivers and sponsors get good coverage but the racing is arguably nowhere near the level it used to be in terms of professionalism. The only driver that sticks out as being that way in recent years is Ash Sutton but even he can have his moments.

I don’t know what people expect. We’re in the middle of a financial crisis and let’s face it we’re unlikely ever to get professional teams and drivers like we did in the 90s again. There are still plenty of very good drivers in the series and let’s face it, without the pay drivers half of them wouldn’t be here

Sutton, Turkington, Cammish, Cook, Ingram, Plato & Neal are what I'd call the Premier league drivers. Maybe Butcher would possibly just sneak in there too. Morgan, Chilton, Goff, Hill & Ollie Jackson are in the 'championship' and the others are between leagues 1 and 2! |

Is there a reason why people think Proctor won't be in a Hyundai this year?
He definitely isn't going to be at BTC. And it isn't Shedden either. It's someone who raced in the BTCC in 2020 and is not Scottish. |

I think he was quoted somewhere saying he wanted a more competitive car, maybe that was just a ‘come on guys up your game’ to Excelr8 rather than I’m off elsewhere?

A long short list then...
Scratch Bushy as he said so. Someone with deep pockets, and none of the names in my head have particularly deep pockets unless their circumstances changed for the better. Easier to wait than tax my old head... Wild guess: RA |
