I don't know why Jim is getting quite a bit of criticism on here. He's done quite a bit on a limited budget and without the backing of a major manufacturer. That should be applauded

I love the Glickenhaus it's a beautiful prototype but he wasn't going to win Le Mans, so he had to create a unique, iconic prototype!! and that prototype would have been with a V12 NA, not with that engine, the Glickenhaus with a V12 would have been unforgettable!!! it was the new 333SP!!! but with a turbo engine it is one more of the bunch....they all have turbo engines!!!! if you are not going to win Le Mans build a unique Prototype!!! the V12 puts you like a unique prototype, that's what Glickenhaus lacked!!!!

Hi hondafan37! Love your enjoyable, refreshing and genuine enthousiasm, really. What you're pointing to, build a unique prototype(s) for LM, does of course belong to the long established tradition of the 24H race. The most iconic french example could be Inaltera. But we have numerous others I cant list right now, but the names of Courage, Rondeau, Ligier and De Cadenet spring to my mind atm. Back in the day the engine a la mode was of course the 3 litre Cossie, easy to source and maintain.
https://www.carthrottle.com/post/nx97gp5/ https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/2...-porsche-22514 https://newsdanciennes.com/inaltera-...-aux-24h-mans/ Because of some of you on here, have to source a Glick T-shirt now! Or cannon fodder because it's 14th of July… |

Looks like they won't be doing the "silk road" again, as the cash flow problems persist.

They've ruled out going to Fuji, while Bahrain is still uncertain. I hope they do go to Bahrain, because if they are not coming back next year, it would be nice if they at least got a proper send off.

After 2021 and 2022, anyone still believes he has any plans to race in non-European rounds?

Where else would we see a Glickenhaus on track or will it be a museum piece from now onwards?

Track days.. David murry, Apex and the like where there might be various ancillary support teams onsite. I think they did a winter one on Sebring?

And what of customer Hypercars? I remember reading about potentials. With so much time gone by, it’s easy to believe those are dead. It’s such a shame because that car is a beautiful machine and has potential |

I guess peopel would rather now go with a quicker beter backed package, like Porsche, who seem to be the go to for customer teams, and you can understand that with the sums involved

What a brilliant addition to the WEC for these last few years. All credit and respect to Jim and the team.
Personally I'd love to see them back at the N24 and hopefully the team will continue to attend FoS in the future. |

The ACO owes Glickenhaus a huge debt of gratitude for giving the first two years of Hypercar some credibility. Without them it would have just been two Toyotas and an old Rebellion until Peugeot turned up.
And their Le Mans record has been amazing. 6 starts, 6 finishes and a podium. And even this year, when the floodgates opened, both cars finished ahead of one Toyota, both Peugeots and all four Porsches. Respect. |

He should have wrap his car in green and park it in front of the Paycom center in OKC, like Frank Williams did something similar back in the day with the Saudis!

No hybrid, no big factory support, only passion. The Glick may be the last true privateer entry we will see for a long time. They totally embraced the Le Mans spirit. A Rondeau of the XXI century. I already miss them..

Well said. The ACO should know by now that privateers are the lifeblood of Le Mans (particularly). As we saw only too clearly with Peugeot, Porsche and Audi, manufacturers come and go and if they all run away at the same time we'll be back in the doldrums again. It's all well and good having the big names at Le Mans and in the WEC but we still need the plucky 'amateurs', especially now that going racing has become seriously expensive....
