Coincidence that the #4 Oreca Peugeot was running a bit slow there ahead of Lotterer, eh?

Well, that's what happens when you drive on the edge the whole race. While I want the Audi's to win it would have been interesting to see if he could catch them.

Engine just couldn't take it anymore......quite a good fight it gave though.

And if Mr Brabham was the 3rd seat and not Mr Davidson, we would be left in wonder as to the dominance of the Lion....

Exactly the same failure as the #2, and Davidson wasn't driving that, so you cant blame this on Davidson either.

#9 and #8 immediately back off to running 3:28s, but the #7 has to keep pushing a bit to ensure the 1-2-3.

Shame Peugeot's effort has so completely fallen to pieces.

Obviously, you've got to take your hat off to Audi for their thoroughness, but it was almost looking like we'd have an exciting end to the race.

Fingers crossed that the Oreca car makes it to the end and the Aston 009.

The Audi 1-2-3 is definitely not a sure thing. The Oreca 908 is still faster than the #7.

I don't. Not one bit. They had the rules written specifically with their car in mind, essentially eliminating anyone's chance at victory and I'm supposed to feel sorry for them when they fall on their face?

After Peugeot's filling the top 4 positions in qualifying, who would have guessed Audi's filling the podium? You just can't predict this. Just can't.

Look at the emotion on his face; just wow. Just gutted.................

This race has shades of the 2005 race where Audi was in just about in the same boat today, slower car having to chase the quicker and making the quicker break.

Audi 1-2-3

Strakka with 5 laps in hand.

Larbre is 4 laps in front of the Aston Martin but the Aston Martin isn't lapping nearly fast enough to make up four laps in 2 hours.

Felbermayr Proton with 2 laps, GT 2 seems to be the only remaining race but they're lapping faster than the Farnbacher Ferrari, so that's unlikely.

I think we just need to wrap this one up, folks.
