Thank-you! Finally some sense has been put into FLM, letting Holzer team up with Bergmeister and Long. This car will definitely be a top contender, now they just have to stay out of trouble during the race.

Would be nice to see Porsches on the top step of the podium without having to resort to weight and restrictor breaks again.

So any guesses on the BMW restrictor sizes for this year? It's safe to assume that RLL will be allowed to maintain their advantage over the other major runners but will it be 29,4mm or old 29,8mm? No bimmers in Europe anymore so IMSA can do whatever they wish for Sebring...

i guess that at least for the beginning of the season, the restrictors will be chosen judging the engine displacement, so bmw should have the same restrictor size of other cars that use a 4.0l

you'r having a lough right, never in the history of the BMW GT2 program has that car run at anything near the engine displacement/weight table purposed by the rules.

infact before season there is a table that assign a size value of restrictor according to displacement (the same scheme for lmp1 and lmp2), is during the champ that the BoP increases or decreases the size of restictor for a specific car. Is the regulamentation not an opinion.
Last year in ALMS bmw restrictor size has decreased after the first three races, but even if the #56 didn't win any race anymore, was almost ever the fastest in qualifying and always had the pace of best other gt cars. (the #55 didn't win even before the restrictors change)

That is correct in theory but as we know some cars receive breaks even before the season starts.

Currently Ferraris - both 458 and 430 - are the only cars that actually follow that displacement ratio corrently and haven't received performance breaks (apart from the waivers). BMW had +1,2mm advantage all year in ILMC last year and 0,8mm in the post- Lime Rock ALMS rounds, which was still bigger than anyone else's. Well apart from Jaguars and other backrunners

Great statement of intent by Muscle Milk. Really wish they'd taken up their Le Mans entry now. Not sure they could have found a better driver to plug in at Sebring.

Good luck to them.

Think Holzer has been 'upgraded' because of his full season ride with Manthey Racing in the International GT Open, so he probably won't be available for full season duty: http://www.vln-fanpage.de/index.php/...al-gt-open-ein

The lizard press release says Holzer will return to the 44 for the rest of the season.

The official test starts on wednesday. I don't know that Ferrari has any major bodywork updates for 2012. Falken is already tweeting pics of their new car at Sebring without the Falken livery.

Sebring Testing will be going live in a few days of course, here is a shot of the (not-yet liverid) Falken Tire 911 RSR as well as the Level 5 HPD-ARX. Seems that the other racing series are finishing their business and packing up right this moment.

Speaking of which, did anyone see the pictures of the Level 5 HPDs with the BHFs and BHHs? If not, consider yourselves to be lucky. They are completely hideous. Worse than expected and I expected them to be eyesores. Between the new Dallara Indycars and the new LMPs, I'm not sure which one is supposed to be the open-wheeler and which one is supposed to be the sports car.

For what it's worth, they both still look prettier than the current gen F1 cars

I don't know about prettier... maybe less ugly. These BHH and BHF are just brutal. A shame that they can't figure out that some of the appear of sportscars has been the aesthetics. It's not a good sign, when F1, Indycar, and ACO are all getting uglier.. while DP's are getting less so. #hashellfrozenover

I would've preferred to have even more color on the hood like the #3 GT1 had in 2009 but I think it's still pretty nice from the side.

well, in my opinion this livery isn't good as the 2010 one but better than the 2011 one, but this is just my stylistic point of view.
The best one (always in my opinion) was the ALMS 2007 livery.

No, 2008... So menacing. But I did love the special 2007 white colours they used in Sebring and Mosport in honour of Fellows.

I haven't really fancied any of the GT2 liveries too much but nevetheless this one is definitely better than last year's.

Livery of Dempsey's LMPC...

I'm eager to see if Larbre has updated their vette colors since last year's look was a bit poor and uninspired. We'll see tomorrow when the testing begins.
