Would have been nice if they got the graphics right. And the rims. And the performance. Coming onto the front straight at Wakefield was a shocker

Perhaps they have spray painters in Malaysia! Does anyone have a photo of the GMS car in Asia
It was the 91 Bathurst winner sold to Asia at the end of 91 Before the Winfield deal was done. (the 91 winner had a white cage). The 2 Winfield cars can be accounted for, Terry Ashwood has Car 1 and Lindsay Fox has car 2. |

According to the 1992 edition of Australian Motor Racing Year, the 1991 Bathurst-winner was driven through the early part of the 1992 ATCC, with a new car being built up in time for the Eastern Creek round. Therefore it would have raced in Winfield livery for about five months before it went to Asia.
EDIT: As you can also see in the photos in the following post from earlier in this thread, the cage was red when it came back to Australia: http://tentenths.com/forum/showpost....&postcount=883 Last edited by William Dale Jr; 15 Oct 2007 at 03:20. |

A piece of history Here...
Bathurst pole sitter in the driver's rookie year.... Would need a full resto to the old colours.... If its worth $120k now.. and given the prices of the Group C & Group A cars, what will it be worth in 10 years time... when the driver may be a Sprint/Nextel cup frontrunner? |

Next year could be an interesting year for the series. Recent sales of the Ashwood R31 so he can drive the R32 GTR, the Sizzler R31 being handed to a sibling to drive so that he can punt Ashwoods old R31. Marklands R31 still running and the owner of the final R31 finishing a side project.
So its possible that 4 R31s could be running against two GTRs, then there is the DR30 should it find a good home. The ANZ Sierra that returned to out shores earlier this year and the final R32 GTR that returned from Asia this year with a view to running next year. |

The smell of hot rice will be overpowering (said in jest), now if we could just get some unity in the categories we could be BIG.
