The #25 Oreca moves up to 2nd in LMP2, first time we see one of the Orecas hang with the HPD so far.

Where are you guys getting your info? T&S at ALMS.com is dead (still showing yesterday's results) and ALMS notes updates have been sketchy? I can't find T&S at the WEC's site.

Fässler improves but not enough to get past the Muscle Milk HPD.

Lots of different GTE cars have graced the top of the timing over the last few days sessions. So, unless BMW is sandbagging a lot, we should have a great race.
Lizards #45 is showing a lot of speed it appears! |

Audi went 1:47.1 yesterday right?
If so, that is half a second faster than their qualifying speed last year. |

Now it finally works--thanks guys
It's worth noting that Audi have yet to bust into the 1:48 range, and are about 2 seconds off yesterday's pace--dirty track or sandbagging? And at least some of the LMP1s that struggled yesterday are now faster than the LMP2s. |

Benoit Treluyer said on Twitter that no more than half the cars were running simultaneously yesterday so traffic is most likely a lot worse today and will be for the rest of the week.

Yesterday the two test session were 4 hours. Today they are only 1 hour each. So more traffic.

Yaknow , with all the work done to slow these P1's down , their only 1 second off 2003 (Bentley) pole time , and the sparks havent even began to fly yet !!!
Opps , Audi did a 1:47 yesterday , then their 1 second quicker , so far , than 2003 pole time . |

I'm not sure there will be much flying sparks. There really isn't anybody to seriously pressure Audi (Muscle Milk won't be able to keep this pace during the race) so there's no reason for them to show their hand really.

And with those long sessions, it seems that Audi and some other teams were out to just log laps or make long runs, though what we saw yesterday might be more indicative of their true pace.
But with less time, there will be more pressure to run laps, and with one hour available, and likely with worsening track conditions, we probably won't see those times again until qualifying, just like last year. |

Busy dirty track and all, I won't get too over-excited til the HPD is at least in the low 1:48s.

So what do you guys think the Audi's pole time will be?
I'd guess 1:45.8 |

not so incredible, in almost 10 years aero and mechanics gears improved a lot so just one second under that pole in maybe a little bit disappointing in my opinion, thinking also that before diesel engines advent in 2006 the power output of engines was comparable to the actual ones

Also, Highcroft were competitive last year and I expect the new HPD to be quicker. |
