It seems that they push for a race abroad and I like it no matter if it will be Italy, Austria or Slovakia.

Some interesting calendar changes are set to be in 2018. Moscow will be dropped fortunately as the circuit is not especially fascinating and there is not much interest among Russians. Italy and UK are set to return to DTM calendar with Misano and Brands Hatch GP or Donington Park the most probable venues. A calendar will be expanded to 10 rounds. If it is true, good changes in my opinion.

Brands hatch was always a cracking day out at the races. Well attended and well organised |

I'd be hoping for Donington, I live in The North so Brands is just a little too far for me!

I'd never say that DTM is not popular in Russia. In fact it's the second/third popular motorsports after F1 and Moto GP. We have a special DTM group with over 6000 fans in a social network VK. Moscow Raceway is a bit boring via TV but there's a great atmosphere during racing week-end. There're some difficulties. For fans it's very difficult to get to the railway station after the race.
As for Moscow Raceway it looks like this race track switching to track days only. |

Donington I'd say would probably produce better racing with these type of cars than Brands

I've seen DTM at both Brands and Donington and preferred Brands - just because you're that much closer to the cars. Maybe it also helps that I know Brands a lot better so I know where the best viewing spots are. |

Both Donington and Brands Hatch are great for spectators. But I think Donington may provide a better race. Hard to say though. In a way, Silverstone F1 layout could be the best suited to the cars purely from an overtaking point of view.

Imho Moscow Raceway is still better than most of the modern race tracks. Better then Sochi imho. |
