cornerspeed
No best time was 2min11.2.
Red car looked very dodgy with flames pouring out on down shifts, and pulling 3 car lengths on the straight......so some things dont change in testing. Then sometimes in different car columbian 1 sec off. So Eurasias Richard Bradley and Kotaro genuine pace, but generaly 6tenths off Axcil Jefferies, who was consistantly setting the pace over 3 days with Motaworld. |

You can't predict anything from private testing, can you? The entry list will be published soon (before the official Introductory Test).

sounds like you been at a different circuit !
you should have asked the Porsche Guy with the Radar Gun who was fastest on the straights. but you are right the Columbian was in 2 different cars, his no.88 FBMW and his Brothers Proton. always enjoyable through what kind of glaases people look. i cannot wait for the first Qualifying, to see the real world ! It would be nice to see 20 F-BMW pacific cars on the championship. And I expect 30 cars in Macau this Fall.

According to the turn out at the last test, heres what ive come up with:
Meritus- 2 confirmed drivers, possibility of 4 Eurasia- 4 confirmed drivers E-Rain- 2 confirmed drivers, possibility of 3 Motaworld- 1 confirmed driver, possbility of 3 Mofaz/Petronas- 4 confirmed drivers ART- 1 possible driver Mango Racing- 1 confirmed driver, possbility of 2 Atlantic- 1 confirmed driver, possbility of 2 EuroInternational- 4 drivers for selected races? am i missing anyone? So 15 confirmed drivers, and possibly a grid of 27 cars for some rounds. When the entry list is out, i wouldnt be suprised to see 20+ confirmed drivers. There were over 20 drivers testing over the last two weeks |

Seems like more interest in Pacific than Europe...
Gomick....that's exactly what was foretasted last year and the year before! Perhaps it's due to the rumour that the present FBMW car is on it's final year! BMW has never been known for their forthright talks with the teams and many of the European ones decided not to wait; ditto on the driver pool - word goes around and really, when you see what was offered to the drivers before (World Finals, F1 ride, publicity) and what is now.....does not need to be a wizkid to see the results of BMW's own making. BUT, as said before here many times, FBMW is still a good deal for a young driver with great potential, especially here in Asia - what else is here on par with FBMW? Price factor is another lure for drivers to come - Euro 130,000 vs ????? 300,000? Forgetting Renault in Asia for a moment as they really don't have any media coverage / program extending past 2010. Last test - nobody looked bad!!!!! Sure some were slower but possibly with proper engines from last season and not "homemade" ones. Interesting on that note - a guy in KL is "manufacturing" rebuilding engines and guarantees at least 10 hrs with more hp at a cost of old engines plus labour! If that is true - and why not as there are many teams changing engines often - you have to be there to appreciate the "quick" change-over in 40 degrees! and yes - I think the official test on the 27th will show a little bit more and the downer comes with the first qualifying for some teams. Note that NO official timing was there! Fast and furious thumbs. AOS, Champ, Euro were missing, Mango - 2 cars- looks real good! Motaworld - 3 cars tests, one signed? Meritus - 4 cars - 2 signed; atlantic - 1heard they now are Atlantic/Branson Racing Team; 2 cars - 1 signed but 2. car sits there, why? No spare cars allowed!!!! Or rules changed? ART, - 2 drivers signed. Eurasia - the beehive of FBMW Pacific - lots of action, Axel at another team? Erain - 4 cars - 2 drivers signed, as always - good stuff! MOFAZ - 4 cars - all signed |

I hope FBMW really does survive in the pacific - europe, doesnt matter, heaps of junior formula over there. Motorsport in Asia is gonna be huge in the future (and the present) - Bernie wants F1 in India in 2011, add Malaysia, Singapore, Korea, Japan etc...

I think the problem in asia is teh different cultures
Euro guys try to organise things correctly then each country ASN or track owner wants to be the big chief or even the customs guys screw it up If asia wants to have motorsport it needs to get better organised and stop its "individuality" taking over we in euroland are all diferent cultures BUT can get a euro series and many national series going well with no problem |

At the moment Asia business too busy to notice money that can be generated by motorsport. Once this happens then you will see cultural differences disappear when $$$$$ start to be generated - then we may have more GP rounds here than in europe:-)
