Did he have any other choices though? Ive always thought he would be good on the roads myself, did he do much in Oz in that sphere?

Not a good career move? What other options would a 35+ year old get at this time of the year to "pro-long" his career....
We all know it will be a piece of shyte whatever bike it is, but it keeps McCoy's name in the very, very "dim" lights |

I don't know, I have to say that I also don't understand why racers do this. Not to mention, you think he would have learned from his Ilmor stint. But McCoy has already soured his career in my opinion by scrounging for points in WSS for a few years. His Red Bull Yamaha days seem so long ago now.

I have no problem with Mcoy still racing coz he can still do very well.
And he is one of the very few riders in the world who does things out of the ordinary! I remember watching a Phillip Island WSS race a few years bacm and he was taking half a second a lap out of the leaders at one point! Tyres were buggred when he got there, but he can still amaze, just not that often!! |

I remember McCoy and Rossi in the lairy days. Backing it in, spinning it out. This means I am now officially old.

McCoy and his new bike. Tough to tell much, but it looks kinda crude at this stage. Also, I'm not sure how genius it is to launch a new 800cc prototype when the rules are set to change...

Photos of the Scott Redding's Marc VDS Moto 2 bike have been released. I know very little about Moto 2 and what's going on, but is there a family resemblance here?

Well, the Moto 2 bikes are slow! Almost 125 pace. You can see a few of the different chassis combos in the link below. As to my question above, both bikes are Suter influenced, hence the similarity.

Slightly off topic, but if the Motot2s are so slow compared to 250's are'nt any of the teams thinking about wheeling out their old bikes? Im sure when the class was announced provision was made for teams to run 250s this year as a transition. |

I doubt anyone will use a 250 asd most of the Aprilia bikes are leaed anyway, none ofthema re owned, part of the reason why the class was in such a mess.
It cost nearly as much to lease a 250 as a GO bike for Gods sake. Am not concerned by the pace, some were running stock 600 motors, so as long as the racing isfine I dont care. I think it will be a bit all over the place until the class settles down, dont be surprised if teh leaders lap some of the points scorers!! |

Testing continues at Sepang. Rossi was on top today, again. He's looking pretty dominant, even for testing. I think everyone else is in trouble.

Rossi throws down a lap record on the final day of testing. Very ominous. Stoner was 2.4 tenths off followed by Hayden, who was just over 4 tenths off the pace. A nice turn of form for Hayden. If he can figure out how to start a race weekend closer to the top of the time sheets he would fair much better.
Simoncelli had a big highside earlier in the day and had to be taken to the hospital and was released after some tests. |

Suzuki's new bike:
http://www.rizla-suzuki-motogp.co.uk...1082346_SUZUKI First big change I noticed was it now has an Akropovic exhaust, and not a Yoshimura. Also, that business going on underneath the tail. |
