Somewhere in this lengthy thread, I posted that during the final weekend of the season, she is contemplating just being a team owner and retiring as a driver, because it is too difficult to get a handle on set ups and such by putting multiple drivers in the cars like a game of musical chairs.
She wants to focus on the team and making it the best it can be. However, she has not made a final decision on retiring from the cockpit. Personally, I think she would do the team owner thing with a good driver that Dollar General likes, but do a one-off for herself as the second car for the Indy 500, since it is the 100th Anniversary next May...That event would be too special for her to pass up as a driver, IMO. We'll see...it's on Monday at 11 a.m. Eastern Time in Indy. |

Tagliani officially sticks Tung into...
the second seat at FAZZT. At least that's what Dean McNulty says:
http://www.torontosun.com/sports/col.../16285216.html The whole world salivates at the prospect. Last edited by JagtechOhio; 24 Nov 2010 at 04:18. |

JagtechOhio, that's not a breaking news, it's expanded speculation.

If you say so, but the Canadian sportwriter says different:
"The IZOD IndyCar Series will have its first Chinese driver next season after Ho-Pin Tung signed on in a second car at the Canadian based FAZZT Racing team. He will be a teammate for Montreal native Alex Tagliani." So Mcnulty got the scoop from his pal Tags, or he has done a lousy job of expanding speculation. |

I hope that the sideplates in Hélio's car remain red.

Having Pennzoil back would be great. Maybe Havoline will start sponsoring Andretti again

Is it me or does it seem like there is some really nice momentum building for IndyCar? Maybe this will continue with the likes of Newman-Haas and Rahal getting some funding as well. Corporate America, IMHO, are a bunch of Lemmings anyway. Once the first few dominos fall, more follow. Chevy, Shell/Pennzoil and Lotus. There will be more - I'll go on the record with that. Maybe someone has figured out it's better to be in victory lane in IndyCar (with the likes of Penske) than running around in 35th place in NASCAR. Maybe they'd break the top 20 and everyone would celebrate. I can't wait to see what the next couple of months bring in the way of announcements. |

AS DF posted on a new thread, Sarah Fisher is now retired. Ed Carpenter will run nine races in the #67 car.
Dollar General is the sponsor, there hasn't been a report to indicate what (if any) sponsorship participation there will be on the part of Fuzzy's Vodka. Between SFR and what was left of Vision racing, there were six chassis last year. Who now has what is unknown, but it would seem that Vision racing is now completely kaput. |

I was happy to see that Newman Haas is testing Oriol Servia and James Hinchcliffe. Perhaps there's more good news to come regarding the future of this once great team.

Hopefully Hinchcliffe gets a seat - he's been in Indy Lights/Atlantics for how long now?

I dont' know if I prefer to see Servia (I think the best driver without a seat in 2010) or Hinchcliffe (a young and talented rookie)...I dream a seat for both at NHR...

Think I'd prefer Hinch for the seat. Nothing against Servia as like you I think he was the best driver without a seat in 2010, but I think Hinch would bring some fresh excitement to the series.
