How environmentally friendly, Colin!

'BIG' ad is actually quarter page near the back and as I don't read the mag for the quality of it's advertising think can be excused for not spotting it! I do read and keep the proposed rule changes section, though. How many people just bin that?

Going back to the seats, looks like could be the answer to a lot of fitment problems. Well done them.

Alan Morgan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I was interested to see that "Historic Motorsport" now warrants an entry in "Nomenclature and Definitions" in the latest rule changes booklet. I like the wording...

Annoyingly, I had a pre-publication version of the magazine because I have an advert this time, and I didn't get the rules changes booklet with it. I didn't notice this when I threw the other THREE other copies we receive in this household straight into the recycling. Anything of importance there?

Mike, re the Tillett seat - their factory is next to my office so if you need one picked up for Spa it shouldn't be a problem. I might investigate them for the E-type, the period style seat is hot, uncomfortable and not great from a safety point of view.

Thanks Colin. No problem at Spa as Cliff and I are racing Tango and has an in date Sparco. Just fitted the 3 of bolt type clamps to extinguisher, think floor pan will give way before they do....

You will need a seat support, which will have to be adapted/chopped about and believe me they do need positioning. But with no padding they are surprisingly comfortable.

Haha. Uncle Derek, you mean? You are right about wet being to our advantage, although would be nice from the socialising point of view if rest of w/end was dry!

BTW parcel arrived, thank you very much.

Yes, we're doing it too - Lotus Cortinas numbers 30 and 40. Had to think long and hard (approx 8 seconds!) at the start of the year when the calendar showed a clash with Brands. 3 days at Spa, 1 day in Kent, hmm, tough decision.

With 4 of us driving it's an ideal opportunity for all of us to have a go. Probably my last ever race before I hang the helmet up for good.

Joe is right, a season out is very therapeutic. After a wonderful day at Goodwood last week I have a new energy for driving and looking forward to next season. Hopefully I will finally have a car ready for the 6 hour as well!
