During the TRV6 race on Rafaela they gave some details about the 2023 TRV8
At first, they plan 12 cars for the best 12 of the 2022, with some extra entrys for some pilots from outside the series. They'll race alongside the actual V6s (this is a weird one) The cars will have over 500hp (same engine of the "La Bestia" CARX prototype) and at first only two silhouettes available, speculation on Lexus (since the brand actual presence as an official team) and Chevrolet (another weird one, since the engines are Ford, but I'll asume is for bringing back Canapino) A more "muscular body" planed, the body and aero on the prototype aren't the final ones. Test starting on Buenos Aires on the next few days. |

Why is it that they can only build 12 cars for next season? when i guess the new car will be built on the current chassis.

From what they said, I'll asume the chassis is new/an evolution of the current one (that came around 2005) and isn't compatible.
They also mentioned, IIRC during the TC2000 race, that there are arround 20 engines currently being built by Berta. (don't know what amount of tuning they'll receive) this doesn't seem much, but the V6 started with 32 2.5 Jaguar engines that Ford gave to him on grounds of the consultation services provided (apart from the money, that is) and they are still running till now. What's interesting is that this V8 evolution will finally end as was initially planned for the STU project, that after cancellation mutated somewhat into the V6 Last edited by TuteZaek; 1 Aug 2022 at 20:02. |

There'0s controversy at the Turismo National (when not?), because Chapur and Pern?*a refused to win last weekend's race. THey think that the weight ballast penalty is bigger than the points rewards.
Were it me, I would make the weight ballast valid for a single race. So you get a top 5, the next race you suffer from the extra weight, and the following race you are back to speed. |

Yeah, the TNC3 race end was a farce.
The ballast system is unnecessarily complex. If you win you add 50kg, 2nd adds 25, 3rd 20, 4th 15 and 5th 10. Till a maximum of 90kg After 9th you start unloading in reverse, ending with 50kg less after 13th or lower. The mess starts with the fact that if you win, you load 50kg, but 30 of those are permanent, and a second win (or more) adds 15kg more to that 30, so, two wins means 45kg of permanent ballast till the end of the championship even if you don't go over 13th place. That was Pernia and Chapur, who already won this year, excuse for doing that stupid show (while also trying to **** the other arround) |

Here is the draft result for the Sunday race (from revista crono's twitter) color coded for the drafting groups, Jalaf (pole), Aguirre (9) and Todino (33) got the best drafts for each group.
The race will have 35 laps, with 2 mandated pit stops, one for the change of at least 1 (new)right side tire, from lap 1 onwards and another for adding 40 liters of fuel, from lap 7 onward. The stops, as they always do, will be divided by box number (odds and even on odd and even laps respectively) to have some space for working. Any work that doesn't involve tires, fuel, cleaning windshield and/or radiators or changing/adjusting the dynamic intake will have to be made inside the garage. There will be no series, so the final result will add the points. Last edited by TuteZaek; 6 Aug 2022 at 11:17. Reason: More info added |

A lot, but kinda a mess so everything is subjet to change.
The TC2000 is going forward with the SUV/CUV idea, trying to bring back manufacturers, but, at the same time, Chevrolet, one of the biggest official teams, isn´t interested in the move so, things are weird. Toyota wants to race everything here, so no expected changes, and Honda...well they're here for now. Axion/whatever left from Renault with the dealerships help is also in a weird position. FDC is anoter weird one, was works in the past, now is going with pay drivers, but the know how is there, i guess The FS Motorsport team is there to fill space as of now with the old DTA's Fiats. Then there is the "The VW Nivus will race on TC2000" said as if VW will come as a works team, no words on who will be doing them, but FDC is the most obvious choice, unless they surprice someone with, i dont know, the return of Berta Motorsport as a team*, or something like that. Thats on the TC2000 side. (which is the one having most of the movement with the upcoming changes) *For all it's past glory, it will be hard for Berta to come back as a team, since is basically on charge of the engine development of the TC, TR and the future of the TC2000 |

On the ACTC side of things, the "Copa de Oro" is about to start, with Canapino on road to win the regular season (Only his team mate Mangoni, and Urcera with the Maquin Parts Torino can fight with him)
There were a lot of team changes, the most important was Ramos going out of the "biggest"* Dodge team, Castellano's one, to drive the Torino of the Rus Med Team, with Agrelo, coming, surprisingly, from the Maquin Parts, were he drove one of the Torinos, (Being the other one involved in Urcera's big Crash) to drive the (other) orange Dodge. The Maquin Parts Torino was already dissasembled to do a complete rebuild and there is talks with another driver, already racing, for it, but no name anounced yet. Then there was a problem with some teams/cars shutting off the telemetry systems (Race Pro) that the ACTC uses for monitoring so the CAF will be harder on that aspect. *Biggest as a saying, there is no big Dodge team, but Castellano has 2 cars, and its Dodge exclusive. And talking about regulations... there is the constant talk about ACA's CDA and its position, policies, rulings and, well everything, with the ACTC being in the middle just because.
It's kinda long and futile to try to explain but, there is a lot of movement rightull and not so much, to undermine CDA's position, or, more precicelly the current CDA (and ultimatelly the ACA's), with Garcia Remohi, the president of the CDA, on the sights of every single person somewhat related to racing in the country. Also the ACTC comes on the mess because of its influence and by virtue of being the other fiscalizing body on the country (actually there are 3, CDA, ACTC and CAMOD, for bike racing) which some view as a oversteping over the ACA. Then there is the problem with the rullings, which produced some weird episodes on the lasts months, with Chapur vs Pernia on the TNC3 at Termas, and the controversy with Stefano Di Palma (Yes, another Di Palma) with was suspended from last week TR Race over some twitter posts as the biggest (yet) Finally, talking about TN and TR, both "CDA Series" the last weekend the races were held with less than 100km distance from each, one on San Nicolas and the other at Rosario respectivelly, something that the both the CDA and the ACTC(that doesn't factors here, but could, with the TCPK that normally shares weekend with the TC2000) promised that won't happen didn't help the already battered image of the CDA (and both series promoters, APAT and the Levys) On the positive side, the CDA and ACTC reached an understanding and put on hold or directly cancelled any new series being planned, at least for 2023 and i think 2024, so, the planned TCPK Pista (TCPKP?) was canned before its first race, and thats a good thing. |

Oh, another TC one, there is problem with the first game of the FIFA World Cup, that was re scheduled to November 20, (From the 21) at 13hs in the country, and will clash the middle of the series penultimate race at Toay.
The race and the match should be both broadcasted by TV Publica (The state owned channel) and the clash put the ACTC on the run to get an alternative, with DeporTV (that normally covers the qualys of the ACTC series and TN) being on the talks, if not possible, the race could be held on Saturday. |

Because the C segment Is already on the last legs* in the country while the SUVs are a flourishing market. It's stupid, but the series needs/wants a change to survive and the public wants some noise so it works, kinda.
*Of the models currently racing, only the Corolla and Cronos have some sense of future, the Cruze Is uncertain, the Civic Is dead on the region, same as the Fluence, and C4, the Fiat isnt technically a C tho. The Focus, and 308 are long gone. |

There will be a new engine formula for 2023/2024 (24 More likely) made by Berta with 400ish HP and "better sound" than the Orecas

Not really like the move to SUV.
Doesn't have TN class 3 have the same problem? I mean that class has lots of cars that could race in TC2000. |

TC2000 is supposed to be manufacturer-supported, so they want to race cars that sell well.
TN doesn't care if you run an old Focus, 408 or Fluence, it's mostly privateers anyway. |

Della Motta was leading the TC final at Parana from start to finish but was punished for cutting a corner.
Isn't that a harsh penalty? |

Even just 5 seconds is a bit too harsh if you ask me. But apparently that's what the ACTC regulations say.
Last Saturday, veteran Brazilian MMA fighter Zuluzinho lost a fight for an equivalent unfair rule. |
