Will the aero change at all before Petit? I know Michelin is working on a new compound, but haven't heard about the aero yet. The torque-vectoring is still not functional, but that would be really cool if they got that going for next season. |

Deltawing rolled, after contact with GTC car... roll hoop damage, not sure if that is going to be repairable. |

Also, are the DeltaWing's body panels still made out of the REAMS material? I wonder what the team thought of how that held up? |

Here is some great video of the crash from the DW and the conquest car.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uW7q...e_gdata_player Always hard to judge these things but it appears there is some movement by the green hornet car. And Gunnar was nearly completely passed when the impact occurred. But at the same time it also appears that Gunnar had plenty of room to his right. Last edited by joeb; 18 Oct 2012 at 01:18. |

Was REAMS used on the car? I had heard that was the ultimate plan, but the project was also rushed somewhat to get rolling and prepped to run LeMans.

The car was hit in one of its worst places considering its arrow-like design, rear quarter panel hit similar to Davidson's at Le Mans. The Nakajima hit was almost broadside. Plus it was hit by a heavier GTC car and not a lighter prototype. Yipe. Glad was Gunnar was OK and even reacted to the Green Hornet car.

Regarding the REAMS issue, it made me chuckle somewhat at the concept of sports prototypes filling up landfills and how to deal with it. There aren't enough racing in the world to equal in bulk the amount my neighborhood sends to a landfill in a two week period. Besides, broken body work that is deemed tossable and not going back to team base ends up on fan's walls (and then on ebay a few years later )

Yeah - thought the same thing. I really like the Delta as something truly different but a bit of rubbing isn't all that unusual in sports racing and it makes me wonder if that might just be a bit of a weakness brought on by the unusual layout.

Pretty sure the Porsche got something onto the dirt and last control - look how it swings out of the corner, hits the DW, and then swings the other way. |
