I have to say that the LC500 is sleeker than the RC-F, although I'm not sure it'll be better than the GT-R in the actual race.

Audi is leaving the WEC after 2016, and with it, one of the greatest dynasties in sports car racing will wind to a close. A dynasty that was, in part, created thanks to the improbable connection of Audi and Super GT.

#26 Team Taisan SARD already announced that Tsubasa Kondo (2016 Porsche Carrera Cup Japan champion) will partner Yuya Motojima for the last 2 races of this Super GT season.
Besides racing at PCCJ, Tsubasa Kondo also participates in Super Taikyu (ST-4 class with Mazda Roadster) and 86/BRZ Racing. Therefore all-PCCJ champion lineup. http://www.sard.co.jp/pdf/SARD_News_20161031.pdf Last edited by hvr777; 31 Oct 2016 at 02:50. |

That's a very, very good choice. Kondo and Motojima have combined to win 17 of the last 20 PCCJ races since the start of 2015!

In PCCJ alone, Kondo-san has excellent record : 2nd in 2013 standings, 3rd in 2014, 2nd again in 2015 and finally the champion in 2016. Not difficult to say he has the potential to be competitive on the next level in Super GT.

Since there's a complete review of new NSX and some GT500 CFD in a fresh issue, I think I'll need another free-week to understand at least the most important bits. |

@helgi
If you get the hang of learning Japanese, you'll be a savior when it comes to translating articles. Keep it up! BTW, Honda's Nippon Race Engine for 2017 almost reached 2 liters, but what's interesting to me is throttle-by-wire. Still, the engine produces 600 horsepower. |

I'll buy print edition on Saturday, and I'll translate brief overview. Please wait few days. By the way, Autosport mag made SEV racing core (kind of junk science) an appendix again. |

@Matt
Well, having a universal cockpit for both left and right-hand driving is better than getting the left-hand drive only, since it was based on a DTM chassis. After all, accessibility is also important. |

You'd have to completely re-route the exhaust and everything else as well.

Yet that doesn't stop automakers from making special RHD cars for markets like the UK, Japan, former UK colonies and current Commonwealth of Nations members that have stuck to RHD, and several African countries. Should be relatively easy to do on a quasi-spec race car tub anyways.
