With reference to Peter Lucas' Elise.....The car ran faultlessly all weekend and it was silly problems that got in the way as usual.

Started race 1 strong and Scott was holding 6th place without threat. We only had 2 sets of tyres for the weekend and the front left was suffering. It picked up a flat spot then Scot dropped a couple of seconds. At the driver change Peter went straight out behind a safety car in 9th place.....the safety car stayed out for 7 laps and only pulled in with 1 race lap to go. Bummer.

Started Race 2 off grid 10. Scott made it up to 6th place in 4 laps and was catching 5th. then on lap 6 he lost the clutch and had to pit. Seems the clutch hose was rubbing on something and started leaking. Took the boys 7 or 8 laps to cut the hose and put a new fitting on the end. Peter then went out and was the 5th fastest car on the track. We finished the race but the results show DNF because we didn't hit 70% of the race laps. Gutted.

Scott's fastest race time was 1:37.1 and Peter's was 1:38.7. Yes Scott can drive and yes Peter Lucas is a gentleman.....but belive me he can still drive!

All in all the car was very bloody impressive.

Thanks for posting photos Alfacors, they're fantastic.

Davelise, wasn't having a shot at Scott Bargwanna's co-driver, just noting that the owner probably wasn't as quick as Scott (which isn't surprising or anything to be embarrassed about).

Really nice shots there. Those who say Eastern Creek isnt good for the fan should really take a look at those shots.

Presentation of the cars have really made a step up this year.

Impressive ones this year have been James Koundouris in the Dare Shot Black Porsche, JT with the yellow and red 430 but the clear winner in my eyes on the weekend was Algadri's Black, Red and White 430. Showed up great in your images aswell.

He has mentioned his desire to in various interviews this season.

Would be awesome to have JB and his profile running in the championship. With his former team manager running the championship now, along with Aladri back in the championship, I guess nothin beats the present.

I wonder who he will drive for. An Algadri tie up would be the most likely however will Maher be willing to vacate the seat ?

speaking to him a little while ago he said that if maher was driving again it would be for himself and not to rebuild PHR to its former glory

interesting to see mahers 430 is run by piccola scuderia (same group as Daves) from the pics i couldn't see a PHR logo on it.

also shares sponsors with the brennan it machine

Thanks for that info aboot PHR. From what that team was to what it became is up there with one of the most disappointing happenings in Aus motorsport.

In all the talk it has been neglected that congratulations must go to Greg Crick becoming the 2006 Speed Energy Drinks Aus GT champion.

Mostly because Rudi of PSC fame was the co driver.

And they used to service the Stevens 430. Past tense.

Interesting to note the award for the GT Championship is the Ross Palmer Perpetual Trophy. Good to see that Palmers contribution to motorsport hasnt been forgotten.

One was sold to BE Racing at the end of 03. Terry Little looked at running Lucio Cesario in the other 360 GT in 04, so it must have been pretty close to being functionable.

I saw that from the Comms box. Masi lost the back end exitting the right hander of the right-left switchback before Corporate Hill and spun into the tyres.

Doubling up from the Island Magic thread - but congrats to Brian Ferrabee and Dave Barram (2B MX5) for winning the CUE Sports Car Series, out pointing Simonsen and Huglin (Faz 360 GT).
