Porsche, Porsche, AMG, Audi, AMG, Audi, etc .... not even halfway but it is pretty clear Germany is going to win.

Will be interesting to see if Glickenhaus tells his drivers to go flat out, noting that nothing less will give them any chance at getting back near the top. They have one of the quickest cars in the field, and knowing this is the last race for the car, you might as well just go for it. With 12 hours still to go, they could make up a ton of time (provided they stay out of accidents)

Anybody know what the current delay is that has been keeping the cars from running full speed the entire lap? I have only been watching the live timing, so don't know where the delay is around the track

Crazy how the Falken BMW's fastest race lap is 10 seconds slower than the fastest Porsche and Audi - pretty significant. This M6 model across both GTE and GT3 has been pretty crap

Although I'm sick of seeing Porsche winning so much, that yellow/green Manthey Porsche is one beautiful 911

And another one's gone, another one's gone;
A BMW bites the dust. The #50 Z4 this time, seems to have gone off in a big way at the top of the Hohe. |

Did the timing 71 get pulled down over night? Just woke up and it's not showing anything near up to date.

I has stopped working a few times before, but then it resumed after missing 5 or so laps. Now it seems rather final... |

It's not been working for me for most of the race. I haven't heard of a C&D like last week, so I can't explain this one.
The official timing has been working for me throughout. |

I’ve only seen 15 minutes of this race but I’m pretty sure I just watched a heli shot of the leading Porsche overtaking in a slow zone.

Somebody needs to haul Stippler & Haase out of their cars in this pit stop. The racing has been fantastic but they're going to take each other off at this rate. |

Two massive incidents on track - a car is on the wrong side of the barriers, upside-down. First of all, I hope the driver is okay.
Less importantly, but significant for the race, Gotz binned it going through the yellow zone for the above accident. Clanged the barriers left and right, the #48 looks like it's done. |

2nd lead Mercedes that makes a mistake and puts itself out of contention.
The car on its roof seems to be the 173 TCR car |

Huge shunt for someone at Adenauer Forst. Hope they are okay. Seems to be maybe the trickiest place on the circuit from tourist lap accidents and my limited sim driving experience.
Gotz has also stuck the second placed Merc in the barriers. |

It could be Bamber backing off slightly, or it could be the setup not working in the morning sun, but both the #48 and the #31 have been catching the #911 by a few seconds per lap.

Really impressed with how comprehensive the television coverage has been this year. Came in from a night out at 4am and couldn’t believe they had cameras operating still.

puncture (I think) for the #31.
Again, commentators are rambling on and missed that completely... They also missed the replays, and will have no clue why the #31 is suddenly in 5th position -- At least someone saw him being slow. I'm happy with the broadcast team, but while reading the class positions at least one of them should keep focused on the live action. Especially if there are 3 guys in the booth. That's twice that they missed a significant part of the action - although it took them just a few minutes to figure this out rather then the 15 minutes they needed for the #2 car. Edit - I take it back, they just plain missed it. And the inevitable Laurens <-> Dries mistake has just occured. Only took 20 2/3 hours. Last edited by J Jay; 23 Jun 2019 at 10:12. |

It's one of my minor RLM criticisms that the class rundowns, or hourly updates at LM, often just bulldoze through major track action.
A case in point being when the #7 was slow out on track last weekend. We had to wait through an hourly update, track temperature update, then adverts claiming the action was 'uninterrupted'. I guess they are primarily broadcasting for a radio audience who can't see what's happening. But still. I'd rather hear immediately about something that is effecting the overall race situation rather than the leader of class V4. |
