I have nothing again the hourly updates even though I'm personally not that interested, but it's a pity that they miss crucial action and are totally clueless for a certain amount of time because they also missed all the replays, and then have to rely on someone tweeting what has happened.
Still. not a major problem , just something that could be done better |

#31 reported to be stopped on track, just at the beginning of the Nordschleife.
No luck for these guys -- EDIT: #31 pushed behind the barriers |

The #911 has lived a charmed life so far. It's had the pace and no mechanical or driver issues at all. Even that pass under yellow seems to have been dropped.

5'32 time penalty for #911 - so probably not a broken car after all.
Audi suddenly looking good now |

And BAM. Slapped with a huge penalty. Irony being the second placed car is surely going to get a penalty for Piana's weaving.

The stewards *might* consider the damage and extra stop enough - the #6 now has an extra stop to make compared to the two Audis, making it an effective 3rd at best.

The BMW with the bonnet stuck open crashing into the pit entry is the funniest thing I have ever seen on a race track.

That's got to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen in a motor race. Can't believe the BMW driver did that!

Okay, now I've seen everything.
The ailing #42 BMW, with its hood up and completely obscuring the driver's view, slowly ambles towards the pit lane trying to make sure he doesn't miss the entrance ... ... which he doesn't. Because he hits the pit lane barrier and beaches the car at pit entry. Edit - Bastian off at Brunchen. Congratulations Audi. |

#6 off (and out?)
Maybe a good moment for #911 to take its penalty - or is it just a short zone 60? |

Looks like it. Can't quite fathom how the two cars who were knocking ten bells out of each other can now coast to a 1-2 finish.
And how Rudi Adams thought it was a good idea to keep going down the pit lane with his hood still up! Edit - The fun never stop. I'm sure that was van der Linde going slow that Vervisch blew past. |

#911 is in to get his penalty, and normal pitstop. -- EDIT: #911 is still 2nd after its penalty and pit stop. Last edited by gert; 23 Jun 2019 at 11:22. |

So the #911 can make it on one more stop. Ditto for the #3 (in now) and the #4 when it pits next time round.

Vanthoor is catching, but having to pass and make up for the longer stop seems to be too much without some good fortune. The #3 is too far back at the moment, so it's between these two unless there are more problems.

Vanthoor is now a man on a mission. Let's see how Vervisch keeps him at bay.

In the end, the #4 had enough. Congratulations to Pheonix for their 3rd (?) N24 victory.
