The email was sent to the President of TACCOC after their message sent out to affiliated clubs. Date: Fri, 28 Sep 2012 14:49:04 +1200 From: Julian Hardy Reply-To: Julian Hardy Subject: Re: Distribution to Clubs of TACCOC Letter to MNZ To: taccoc Dear Nick, Thanks for your newsletter. Unsubscribe me for a start. I don’t want to receive your poison, nor did I ask for it. It is idiots like you that cause the rest of us so many problems. And by us, it is the clubs that are working hard to generate a future, generate public interest and stabilising our sport so we can minimise risk of similar anomalies in the future. Your club has been to conference, you could have spoken up at any time. It is an act of cowardice to do what you have just done. Everyone has the right to an opinion. Using the sports club email list (I presume this is how you have illegally sent this out to us breaking multiple electronic spamming laws) to voice your opinion is a selfish act indeed. Now, all this has done is start another s**t fight that we don’t need. Instead of beating up our sport, why don’t you go and ask the Private Business that stole our sports Intellectual property and rebranded it as their own, and then set about systematically destroying what we had worked hard to create. Would it not be more prudent that you take your case to this private company and ask why they would want to do this to a Not for profit association? And then ask some clubs in your area why they then acted to be the private business’s sporting discipline committee? You are a f****n idiot for sending this out. Please do not reply, I didn’t ask for your opinion in the first place, so now you can have mine. Julian Hardy A few points : - the TACCOC message wasn't sent to Mr Hardy, it appears that it was forwarded to him by one of his associates. Accordingly TACCOC can not remove him from their mailing list as he was never on it. If he was so incensed by receiving it he should have contacted his associate and asked them to refrain from forwarding messages to him. - Mr Hardy's understanding of spam laws are lacking - the email did not breach any spamming legislation. - the profanities have been edited by TACCOC with ***. Mr Hardy's original message had the full profanities. - Mr Hardy chastises TACCOC for being a "coward" for attending MSNZ Conference and not speaking up. As Mr Hardy attended Conference, perhaps he was asleep when TACCOC presented two remits and their delegate asked numerous questions during workshops and the Conference proper. - It will be interesting to see if Mr Hardy's "Judge and Jury" position on the ST/VEEGA legal case will be upheld by the High Court. - The email addresses has been removed. - Mr Hardy's email was not marked "Confidential", "Not for Circulation" or "Private". - I note that Mr Hardy was standing for MSNZ Executive but his unique way of communicating with a member club may be detrimental to his election chances if he decides to stand again. |

Mr Hardy appears to have thrown himself on the Dave Dovey Electronic Pyre of Self Destruction
Good people are sooooooo hard to find aren't they? |

It would be interesting to see the results of a poll of clubs to see who is on what side.
Mr Hardy is not alone in his stance amongst members of some clubs |

We can do without his sort on the executive that is for sure!
At an Auckland meeting of clubs and series (I was invited as a series organiser) before last year's conference, TACCOC's remits were tabled, discussed soundly and eventually received unanimous backing. Without going over old ground (unfortunately it is an issue that won't go away) the number's represented at the Auckland meeting were considerable, certainly over 600 drivers maybe well over, (we account for about 130+ but have no vote at conference as all of ours are members of affiliated clubs anyway) Alfa, Auckland Car Club, Classic Japanese, MG, HRC, TACCOC, BMW, Historics etc. were all represented). To call TACCOC idiots is odd, bearing mind the massive positive impact they have had on the local motoring scene for about 30 years. I am not a TACCOC member (I was once but belts have to be tightened when income drops!) and I do not agree with everything they put out, but idiots they are not. |

Mr Hardy was a sitting member of MSNZ's Race Commission and his position was effectively reconfirmed at the 2012 AGM in May. However, on checking today, the MSNZ directory no longer has Mr Hardy listed as a Race Commission member. I wonder why?

Korea is an untapped market as far as I'm concerned. I think it would be great for V8ST to get out of NZ a bit, race in some of these other markets V8 Supercar might not go to. And hopefully by doing that, they'll get a sanctioning fee that will have financial benefits for the teams they would never get in NZ. You never know what kind of possibilities it could open up. |

Usually soon followed by an irrelevant jab at NZV8s. And then someone drops my name as if it's some secret bombshell weapon to win all disputes. On the one hand you have people moaning about not using real names, then people use mine but won't use theirs. I find it all very very amusing. What are you so defensive about? What did I say? In one thread I asked for clarification on an engine issue (Which has been ignored!) In another I ask for clarification on a chassis issue. And in one other I mention the chassis issue to a guy who made idiotic posts about build quality. Each and every single one relevant. Then comes the abuse.... Woolley, ban stick time me thinks |
