From doing a bit more reading it does look like they're really going for opening up what manufacturers can run as a base car in an attempt to get more cars in the series.

Will be interesting to see if it works because WRC does need some more depth to the top class.

Huff is at Toyota along with his sponsors that have just entered partnership with them.

BMW’s front runners have been dropping one by one, so probably remains a surprise to come.

Another driver had lined up a team to run some Cupra’s, but purchasing them has proved a stumbling block. It will be interesting to see if that gets resolved or ends up going the same way as Smalley’s potential WSR deal.

Fully expect an announcement that an announcement is coming type thing. Wouldn't be surprised if it's Huff+ works livery announcement to match the WRC,WEC and Ritomo Miyatas F2 liveries.

Sam Osbourne has run a Valvoline livery a few times, in '23 & I think '22 as well, so that might cause an issue, especially if he was to run it permanently this season.

Not sure he has the budget for WSR or perhaps he does if it’s a 1 year deal and “go big or go home” and a serious tilt at it with a top team.
