Apparently the three extra cars on top of their regular BGT entries are part of AF's preparation for the Spa 24 hours- I guess so some of their gentleman amateurs can get some extra track time at Spa before the 24.
Though according to the driver pairings named in Autosport, they've got a couple of fairly serious names sharing the Perrodo and Mallegol cars.... Francois Perrodo/Emmanuel Collard Yannick Mallegol/Toni Vilander Filipe Barreiros/Francisco Guedes |

Can anyone point me to a schedule for this weekend? I'm considering going to Francorchamps, but have to know what else is racing to make it worth my while.

According to the timetable on http://www.britishgt.com/downloads.php - the main event is the 25 hours VW Fun Cup, and is the only race on the Sunday - British GT, Lotus Cup, GT5 Challenge, VW Racing Cup all on Friday/Saturday.

Ecurie Ecosse claimed 2 poles from 2 yesterday.
As I type, the pit-stop phase of race 1 is underway... |

Minshaw/Keen and Attard/Sims claimed the 2 wins respectively, whilst Jeff Smith and Chris Hoy got their first BGT podiums today.
50 days until the next race at Brands. |

Attard has a huge lead in the standings now:
After Rds7-8, Spa-Francorchamps: GT3 1 - Marco Attard - 130.5 2 - Alexander Sims - 111.5 3 - Andrew Howard/Jonny Adam - 107 4 - Ahmad Al Harthy/Michael Caine - 93 5 - Jon Minshaw/Phil Keene - 81 6 - Gary Eastwood - 58.5 7 - Pasin Lathouras - 53 8 - Paul White/Tom Onslow-Cole - 44.5 9 - Derek Johnston/Luke Hines - 38.5 10 - Richard Lyons - 38 GT4 1 - Ross Wylie/Jake Giddings - 155 2 - Andrew Jarman/Devon Modell - 136 3 - Adrian Barwick/Bradley Ellis - 108.5 4 - Oz Yusuf/Gavin Kershaw - 94 5 - Aleksander Schjerpen/Morten Dons - 78 So both classes have a clear leader, but both could still lose it - it was only after Snetterton that I was saying how Andrew Howard and Jonny Adam had a clear lead... |

I may have read it wrong but it sounds like it may be the end of Trackspeed as a GT team at the end of the season from the DSC article too.

The DSC article does imply that the Porsche really isn't competitive in British GT at present, and I get the impression that David Ashburn is very much a Porsche man, so perhaps rather than being off the pace or changing cars, I guess he could close the doors , bearing in mind he seems to have finally called it a day on his own career as a driver (although I'm half-expecting an announcement now that he'll be back in the former Hughes/Firth car for the rest of the season!) |

Here's hoping, I admit I wasn't completely sure which it meant.

And what a surprise... Not!
David Ashburn has come out of retirement again for the last two rounds of the season and will drive with Nick Tandy. Source: DSC |

The Beechdean Aston has won the last 2 races here and a win would really do Andrew Howard and Jonny Adam's title hopes improve, especially if Attard/Sims do the impossible and actually have a bad day...
...there have been a few driver/car changes. Notably, GP3 and sportscar ace Jann Mardenborough will partner Chris Hoy in the Nissan, whilst John McCullagh has joined Matt Bell in the UA Audi. Jody Firth and Warren Hughes will drive a third 888 BMW, Matt Griffin will partner Pasin Lathouras, and obviously the mighty David Ashburn has been joined by the faster Nick Tandy at Trackspeed. Tom Sharp and Colin White have switched to the no.40 MP Motorsport Aston Martin following 2 huge accidents in successive races due to their Ginetta's mechanical failures. In GT4, Declan Jones has defected to Geoff Steel Racing in a BMW M3 GT4, alongside Jeff Wyatt, the reigning GT Cup champion. I believe that's it. For those interested, I did post the points standings on here after Spa, but if in doubt, check the website. BRDC F4 is on the support bill! |

Is there an entrylist online anywhere for this? I had a look on the British GT website but couldn't find one for Brands.

How many cars entered for the F3 race? It's been looking a bit under subscribed - which is a real shame. |

All in all the British GT website is a bit crap isn't it? The 'Teams' and 'Drivers' sections are particularly useless - I want to know who / what is racing at a particular event, not who / what might be racing or may once have raced in the Championship.

F3 will be lucky to be in double figures I think - unless it gets a serious overhaul it looks like a championship in its final death throes. |
